Re: Christmas Targets pre Euro fixtures

Watching Clermont currently with 40 points already by HT is worrying. At what cost is the risk going fully loaded worth it? Squad depth is not a strength. Losing a Marcel, Cooney or even Billy is near season ending. Pick your battles.

Re: Christmas Targets pre Euro fixtures

Ladyboys (A)- send 2nd XV, rest all front liners. Particularly need to experiment at front row and half backs. Our 1st XV aren’t going to win this away either. Be realistic and Accept it, season or 2 too soon to think we have a chance even if they put out their own 2nds who are as good as most other...

Re: Harlequins Away 13 Dec

QF in Exeter will suit me down to the ground for a quick trip along the coast in April. Toulouse not so.

Re: Harlequins Away 13 Dec

In the end a fantastic result, hats off to the team. Wish I had seen it all but the stream I had went bad at half time. I'm beginning to wonder are these group stages really working, if an English team gets to game 4 and they only won one or none of their first 3 games, invariably they downgrade th...

Re: Harlequins vs ULSTER MOTM

If Cooney doesn’t get at least a few starts in the 6N it’ll be a disgrace.

But FIRFUs gain will be detrimental to UR. If we start to lose Cooney for half the season now under international duty and player management we need better back up 9s to start the majority of Pro14 games.

And to make matters worse. Paddy should still be playing for UR alongside Ruan, marcel and Hendo. Ruan AND Cooney.

Re: Belfast Tele poll

Its a bit of a nonsense really. How many positions have genuine hard decisions? Maybe 3... and I'm not even sure about two of those. - THP (Botha, Afoa) - number8 (P3, bigNuck & MC) - FB (Terblanche, Payne, Piatau) Apart from those, are the others not straightforward? For what its worth, my selecti...

Re: #boibegin

Couldn’t give a feck about them anymore. World Cup was a borefest from FIRFU. For a fleeting nanosecond I even contemplated switching allegiance to England as I’ve been over here near 16yrs and kids are English. But then a shiver went down my spine. I’ll stick with one team, Ulster, no national team...

Re: Pro 14 2019/20

Bring the B&I league on - purely selfish point of view - means being exiled over here in Ingerland I can get to see them more than the odd HC away match. Seriously though. Would be great. South Africans still have Super Rugby and 4N. Italians should strike a deal with FRU to get into Top 14. 10 Celt...

Re: Ulster Vs Harlequins Sat 7th Dec @ 15.15 BT Sport

What you’re saying, Rum, is we need a more footballing playmaker at 12. Like a paddy Wallace type. There’s a decent young Irish and Ulster Qualified lad playing in France just the sort - at Brive I think.
