Re: Joke of the Day

They bucked me out in my early 40s ie to high BP. In mid 70s, UWCstrike, after an urgent appeal for donors, I ran to the local station from work, ran back to work to Coll car keys ( which I had forgotten; no tea, no Guinness, no FA!) , drove to bank and ran there before it closed for the day, drove ...

Re: Ulster's finances

So football won’t go there, and rugby doesn’t need to go there…..maybe except for artificially set up matches. So GAA are probably the sole users…….and therefore the sole financiers. Imagine the Treasury in London deciding whether we put 200 million into the GB health service, education, controlling...

Re: Ulster's finances

And we are back to the original problem. Who wants to play NI soccer matches in a 35000 stadium with a 20000 crowd, or an Ulster rugby match with 15/18000 crowd?

May have to play the match under GAA rules to ensure a full house though.

Which doesn’t really sound unlike a DOR, does it?
Maybe he could let us know in advance which matches and competitions we are contesting and we could save a few bob on tickets?

Re: 6 Nations 2024

The 6/2 split on the bench is a huge risk if 2 backs get injured…….and one of the 2 subs is a specialist scrum half long past his best and kicking and passing atrociously.

They also opened a new one in Forestside last year. Bet it's not as good as ours. >TT Better class of clientele though. ...

will JH be able to constrain his natural " enthusiasm and belligerence" ..........in addressing the referee as Capitan........... to ensure that he remains on the pitch for the whole 80 minutes?
