Re: Rugby on the Box

And no senseless speculative box kicking either! I think only twice in the whole game........and one resulted in a yellow card for the chasing team

Re: Tickets and seat allocations 20/21

If there is some sort of membership for tkt access next season, it should at least be complimentary for those who have donated their unused ST credit. M Nail on the head. If that was their intention one might have expected to see it in the 8 June email. The fact that it was ( presumably deliberatel...

Re: Tickets and seat allocations 20/21

I think it would have been more sensible and certainly more transparent to have announced the ST "refund" options and the proposed 20/21 membership package in the one announcement. Not to do so makes me feel I am being manipulated. I am on the side of donation, but will not be drunk about. At least ...

Re: Tickets and seat allocations 20/21

Or, how about just refusing admittance to anyone over 65, on the basis that everyone else is relatively safe? :stir: :stir:

On the other hand, based on the folks sitting around me, which looks like God's waiting room, UR couldn't afford to loseb that many STs.

Re: Tickets and seat allocations 20/21

Can't see more than 25% occupancy in the stands - alternate seats with every other row empty. Terraces are more problematic. Doubt if you could get close to 25% with even 1m social distance - I think stadia work on a normal max density of about 4/m2. M Sounds about right. Plus some sort of staggere...

The distribution of the crowd is not the problem -- it is to get the crowd to conform to a predetermined plan of entry and exit and movement in an emergency to conform with social distancing

Re: Interesting bit of (non rugby) Ulster history

Enough of this European piffle
Let us rejoice this weekend in the 80th anniversary of the miracle of Dunkirk, and the role of the Royal Ulster Rifles.

Tickets and seat allocations 20/21

Folk It is obvious that on this site there are learned statisticians and mathematicians ( Rumn, take a bow) As a n academic exercise , and presuming that say in the Autumn, Spanners was allowed to have 5000 home fans in the ground, but still recognising social distancing protocols ( 1m or 2m) , what...
