Re: URC 2022/23 - Other Sides

I tend to agree with the criticism of Leinster. A lot of chances were butchered but Munster put up quite a bit of resistance. Still, we have a lot of point in the bank going into the international break.

Re: URC 2022/23 - Other Sides

Welcome to the Challenge Cup next season, Munster.
Oh to have van Graan back now and to be dissatisfied with being beaten in a penalty shoot out by Toulouse..... fading memories.

Re: URC 2022/23 - Other Sides

Munster were absolutely brutal. If Carty could kick, Connacht would have been out of sight.
Carberry anonymous at full back.
Ross Byrne, God help us, looks like Sexton's back up.

Exvellent match considering the conditions. Leinster were lucky enough in the face of an excellent second half from your lot.

Re: Ulster V Leinster Friday 30th Sept

That's a very strong Ulster side. It will be a big challenge for Leinster. Some players may come of age tomorrow night.

Re: And today, joining the underground .....

Every sympathy to the Ulster fans on the loss of Queen Elizabeth who was a much admired and respected lady down here. I suspect King Charles will turn out very well. Even though I am a republican, with very much a small "r", I will enjoy the pomp and circumstance of the next ten days which...

Re: Ireland ? in New Zealand

As a Leinster fan, I never thought Sexton would last to 37 but his level was so high that I now think he has a last year in him. Frawley may well have jumped over the Byrne brothers in Leinster but then Ross is regarded as a safe pair of hands. Interesting to see what Cullen does with him.

Re: And today, joining the underground .....

Ken Kennedy was a tough man in the best sense of the word. I attended every home match he played for Ireland as a kid. I think he held the record for number of caps for a hooker.
He was on the all conquering Lions tour to NZ in 1971 and he was also the team doctor! Truly they were the amateur days.

Re: Ireland ? in New Zealand

Shocking first half from NZ, making it far too easy for Ireland. Heads must roll. Will there be any backlash?

Re: Ireland ? in New Zealand

The bookies have fairly even odds for the Third Test.
I expect NZ to win by at least 20. We have accomplished our mission with the two wins and it is time for the backlash.

It was a yellow card he dished out, not a red.
