Re: Ulster v Munster Live

Rewatched the game this morning on TV and now feel a bit better about Ulster's performance. Yesterday I was very scathing of how we played and felt that once again we failed to play in a big match when it really mattered. The same as Toulon or leinster in the HC final. But having watched the game th...

Re: Time to look ahead

Well after a great show on Friday we are assured of finishing in the top 4. But will we get a home semi? Glasgow are sitting pretty and need one more win to guarantee a home slot. It would be good if they get that win next week against the Tospreys but I cant se it. So they'll play us probably needi...

Re: Ulster vs Mexicans updates

[quote="BuckRogers"]How in the name of sweet baby Jesus should O'Brien have seen red? Yes it was a bit careless but it wasn't on his neck/shoulder and no harm came from it. A yellow was fair. As Tana Umaga remarked this ain't tiddlywinks. You truly are an ass. So you believe that if you li...

Re: Ulster vs Mexicans updates

Great performance by the team. Hendo outstanding and deserved MOM. Ludik, Gilroy, Paddy, VDM and the front row worthy of a mention. And McCloskey too when he came on added impetus. Now a special mention to Lacey. What a ganche!! O'Brien should have seen red, Kearney got away with another tackle (in ...

Re: Who was your UlsterMOTM vs Leinster?

Henderson for me. Absolutely schooled SOB and the gurning Heaslip. Hopefully he'll knock the equally gurning POM on his Brennan too in 2 weeks time.

The only thing is that Schmidt will still have him in the second row as once POC goes Ireland will struggle for locks.

Re: Who was your UlsterMOTM vs Connacht?

Paddy Jackson for me. Made two great passes for tries, got the backline moving and his defence was fairly sound.

Good to have him back to his best.

Re: Time to look ahead

Bad news - I can't find my original prediction sheet. So don't have a go if the following is out of kilter. After results so far and assuming Leinster get 4 pts today then I'm predicting the following finish: Glasgow 74 pts (16 wins) Ospreys 74 (16) Munster 74 (15) Ulster 72 (15) Leinster 67 (12) He...

Re: Time to look ahead

Well I got 2 out of the 5 predictions right but the Glasgow/Leinster game threw me off track. Latest prediction now reads Glasgow 74 Ospreys 73 Munster 73 Ulster 71 Leinster 67 Here's my original prediction Having looked at the remaining fixtures I predict that Ospreys (75) and Glasgow (74) will get...

Re: Ulster v Cardiff

Watched the game on TV and mostly enjoyed it. Almost a bit of a carry on from last week with attacking rugby to the fore with defences going awol. For me as I said last week I'd rather watch rugby played that way than winning a game 3-0. However that probably depends on that game....... Anyway a lot...

"Send in the clowns....."

I see that Anscombe junior is playing tomorrow night. He of the derogatory statement towards UR when daddy was let go. Well I may believe UR are clowns, you may believe UR are clowns but we don't need some welsh kiwi spouting off his beliefs. Maybe we should all pop down to Elliotts and hire a costu...

Re: Why I hate England.

Totally hate the English when it comes to rugby. I laugh at them re football, But I quite like following the cricket team?! I would really recommend the RTE coverage for the rugby more than the BBC. Its as biased as the BBC but its pro Irish. You just have to accept that the Ireland team would be be...

Re: RBS 6 Nations 2015

I'm on to post a congratulatory note to JS. I was openly critical of him last week and the lack of adventure that Ireland had shown to date in the 6N. Saturday was truly magnificent and hats off to the players. One could ask why it took to the fifth match to play like that. I'm sure its already been...

Re: RBS 6 Nations 2015

LTHG I wasn't directing that solely at you, but if the cap fits. I am not overly enamoured by how Ireland are playing, it's not really easy on the eye and the 6N has been particularly sterile in comparison to previous Schmidt-ball games but not THAT much so. He plays a simple, limited game plan bas...
