The Undertones

Saw them for the first time on Sunday at the Bishop's Stortford Music Festival.

Very good.

The singer is more Morrissey than he is Sharkey.

We heard the wee girl next door telling her gran yesterday that "they were really good but really old"!

Re: Glasgow Away 16th May 3.00pm

Our hotel room comes with a free mini bar and decanters of spirits. Might watch the game in bed!

Re: Dirty D'Arcy

When the time comes that there is an interpro match where no players from either side through a few handbags at each other will be the time to stop watching rugby as the hard edge will have left the sport. I think Twinkle-Toes my have chucked a couple at someone in the first minute or two. Not as a...

Re: Sad

4 more who got away were sat in the Black Horse in Preston yesterday for the other big sporting event of the weekend. No doubt Joe Garner's hat trick would have sent them back to NI happy. I couldn't say much too them cos we were trying to avoid the Ulster score a la Bob and Terry from the Likely La...

Re: What position did you/do you play?

Never touched a ball in my life until a couple of years ago. Was watching Bishop's Stortford on hospitality when one of the fourth team on the next pitch thought it would be a good idea to launch a Gary Owen into the assembled suits. I happened to see it coming and leapt, unassisted, like a salmon, ...

The cupboard looks pretty bare during the World Cup - Gilroy must be playing his way into the squad?

Re: More signatures ... Browne and Rowley

Knew your man Browne sounded and looked familiar. Wasn't sure where I saw his name and investigated... The42.ie seem to be well up on the IQs around the place - this from January this year. Did Bryn just read this article and then go hunting?? http://www.the42.ie/irish-exiles-premiership-top-14-2-1...

Got as far as Mullingar.

We were provided with a cooler for our merlot.

It's started to hammer it down.

Re: What are you listening to?

Ah I see. My tap dancing reference point is probably Roy Castle but those lasses this week were a bit better looking. Graham Norton tried to interview the old lady who won the first one, bless her. He pretty much gave up after take 3 - it will be interesting to see how the power of television deals ...

Re: What are you listening to?

Went to the 60th anniversary Eurovision show this week – it’s on the tele tomorrow I think. Ireland legend Johnny Logan was on good form. There was some Riverdancing earlier in the evening too for some reason. Brotherhood of Man, Lordi and Bobbysox were the best, along with Conchita’s Bond theme tha...

Presumably Cardiff are going to be thinking about their European game the week after when it comes to team selection?

Re: What are you listening to?

So it was Nathan Carter's big night at the Union Chapel in Islington yesterday. Scarily, the wee pup pulled in double the punters that Damien Dempsey did in Shepherd's Bush on St Pats. The vast majority of his crowd were not men and indeed a fairly large brassiere landed on the stage at one point. T...
