Pleasantly surprised by that team. Potentially a bit light in the back row but all other areas look good. Bookies have us 6 point favourites which feels right.
Am considering withdrawing previous criticism of DMCF regarding selections. He might just have a masterplan after all.

I’m looking forward to seeing a new superstar on Saturday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You've been banging this drum like mad King. Really hope you aren't overselling the guy. It would be nice to have a real breakthrough star but we have had plenty of false dawns. When have I been wrong rega...

Re: Sharks v Ulster Saturday 25th February Noon Viaplay Sports 1 / URC TV / Super Sport
Sexton has to chip n chase there He needed to go diagonally across the field and put the afterburners on. He looked like he hadn't a clue what to do. He needs gametime at this level- I doubt AIL sides can deal with his pace. Moxham was persisted with, might work well for Sexton too. Great work from...

Completely bizarre selection, I'm starting to think dmcf is trolling us

Worst idea in a long line of bad ideas at UR. I HATE plastic pitches.

Re: Glasgow Vs Ulster Fri 17th Feb @ 7.45pm Viaplay Sports 1
The frustrating thing to watch is our seemingly mindless shape in attack (and defence but that's another issue). Watch leinster and ireland and see how quick after a tackle the forwards are set into their pods. Even scarlets were doing that pretty well today. Ulster just don't seem to have any shape...

Bookies down to 0.5 points on the handicap now. They know that with Greg Jones to come on, the weegies don't stand a chance.

Re: Glasgow Vs Ulster Fri 17th Feb @ 7.45pm Viaplay Sports 1
Of the Scottish 23 on Saturday, Glasgow getting 3 players back (16 Brown, 17 Bhatti and 20 Dempsey) for Friday. Plus another 4 who didn't make the 23. That's 8no. remaining in Scotland camp if I'm counting correctly vs our 4no. Advantage Ulster. Glasgow in a great run of form, unbeaten at home this...

Re: 6 Nations 2023
Sheehan and Murray doubtful for Saturday. I wonder will Andy call up Luke McGrath and John McKee. It'll be Tom Stewarts fault then if ireland lose. Great to have a ready made scapegoat to hand. Send him in for his first cap, sleg him like mad in the meeja then put him in international exile for 10 ...

Re: 6 Nations 2023
I support Ireland but (if they win a World Cup) it will be absolutely galling listening to O’Driscoll, Heaslip, Horgan, D’Arcy et al waxing lyrical about the Leinster factor. It will also copper fasten the approach of favouring Leinstermen right from professional level right through school boy leve...

Re: 6 Nations 2023
Big day for bealham. Wales will come after our scrum for sure. I would have been very tempted to put hendo in and move beirne to 6 for extra ballast but to be fair to POM he does usually bring something to the international game.

Re: 6 Nations 2023
Unless mccloskey gets injured or messes up at training he is bound to start. He is the only player of the 3 who can only play one position so he isn't a bench option. The easy solution is to start him and bench one of the others. (Aki cover 12 and 13, and Osborne 12,13 and 15 I think)

Re: 6 Nations 2023
Bookies have ireland by 7pts which is closer than I'd have predicted. Home advantage is massive in the 6N but you'd have to say Ireland look by far the more dangerous team recently.big mervyn wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 10:45 pm There seems to be a growing media noise predicting a Welsh win. Jono who? Never heard of him >seeya Yes. The illustrious UR dead to me list + Afoa Coetzee Piutau Gone and hopefully forgotten Marcel owes us nothing Mervyn. We couldn't match his contribution to get us across the line. Piutau and Afoa agreed. Apart from that year on his contract, that he had no in...
