Re: Glasgow v Ulster

Despite the way things went in the second half, on reflection I’m positive about how things are going. Young guys being introduced and given good exposure to tough opponents, and they are showing up well; Ewers, Timoney & McCann a good back row; Hume seems to have re-discovered his form; Kitshof...

Good to see Stockdale playing with a bit of confidence again. He had a good game. As did McCann and Sheridan. Postlethwaite impressed and Hume seems to be recovering some form - though not yet at the level he was at 2 seasons ago.

Re: World cup squad

Can’t see Barron being selected over Stewart or a space being found for Frisch at this stage or Earls making a late swan-song in place of any of the current back 3 names. Nash has had a good season and would have more chance than Earls, though even he will struggle to be selected over current squad ...

Re: Ulster v Dragons Fri April 14 7:35pm

I know Stockdale has a big boot and has creamed the odd one but it's just weird they revert to him as first receiver for clearance kicks right after Leinster did it against us? Don’t think it’s so much to do with what Leinster did against us as Lowry and Burns not getting sufficient length on their...

Re: Cardiff v Ulster Saturday 4th March 7:35pm Viaplay Sports 1 / URC TV / Super Sport

Stockdale is and will remain a defensive liability, he will not tackle head on ever, he occasionally gets man and ball but more often shoots out of the line (possibly looking to intercept) but in my opinion he’s simply not brave enough. Scored a try last night and was complicit in letting two in. A...

Re: Sharks v Ulster Saturday 25th February Noon Viaplay Sports 1 / URC TV / Super Sport

I think the frustration comes from the fact that it's very rare to see a player at this level so poor at pretty much every single basic element of the game. If Sexton wasn't really, really fast he wouldn't be within a sniff of pro rugby, that's how unremarkable his other attributes are. Running wit...
