Re: Marcell Speculation
Strong statement from Petrie firmly putting the blame on Marcel and the Blues. I’m not sure I buy it as Ulster could have played hard ball given the contract situation. They got an offer they (and the IRFU) couldn’t refuse. I buy it. And I don’t think you can expect a guy to lay his body on the lin...

John Edrich and Robin Jackman have returned to the pavilion.
Two fine players.

Re: Marcell Speculation
I think I know who we’ve lined up but it’s KOTH’s job to drop the hints.

Re: Marcell Speculation
Aye, not sure if we’d let him go before his replacement is free to play for Ulster or not.
Although, we may as well tbh.

Re: Marcell Speculation
I think his replacement is ‘oven ready’, as Boris would say.
Whether the deals are done in time for the Rainbow Cup remains to be seen, but afterwards would seem more likely.
Happy Christmas btw.

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
All it needs is one Saffer with a million quid to make something happen though. Maybe Ernie Els is a big rugby fan?!
There are certainly rumours that a deal could be imminent and that contingency plans have been made if it is.

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
The finances could be healthier but, on the other hand, there are loads of players out of contract and a transfer fee, on top of saving Marcel’s salary, may have greased a few wheels......

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
Just wondering when KOTH is going to start giving clues as to the fella who’s lined up to join Ulster should Marcel decide he wants to leave early?

Much appreciated.
I’d not heard of the Green Room and, inexplicably, we’ve never been in the Sunflower.
Might join some of the clubs in the East too. If they’ll have me!

Re: What are you drinking?
It’s great to see all these new breweries taking off BUT, to my taste, about two thirds of it is massively over-hopped. I find that licking a bar of soap and downing a shot of vodka achieves a similar effect, although I’m a bit sick of getting hairs in my mouth. When proper drinking can resume, wher...
