Re: Japan RWC

I don't agree that Ireland were terrible/awful. Yes they did make stupid errors in the second half like the Stander/Farrell accidental offside that led to the Japanese try. Japan were brilliant and played out of their skins. We must give them some credit. The fact is though that Japan have been her...

Re: Japan RWC

Think this puts in perspective how bad Scotland are/were. Japan are courageous and everything is done with speed and tempo in terms of moving the ball. Ireland and Scotland are slow and ponderous reflected in their first choice 9s holding the ball for an age at the back of rucks. That combined with ...

Re: Japan RWC

You also can't play if you haven't a team that has no belief or a decent gameplan

Re: Japan RWC

Hate to say I told you so.
Don't understand why people are surprised by this latest Irish defeat.
One team has a game plan based around ball possession and one side bases a game plan around kicking it away.
Rugby won thankfully!

Re: RWC warm up matches

Our seconds are better than their seconds. If Best Furlong Ryan Hendy Toner POM Ringrose and Stockdale all of whom were involved, are considered second team, I would agree. I would call it an old school 1sr/2nds fixture v the 2nds/3rds of a superior outfit. Certainly after the last competitive fixt...

Re: RWC warm up matches

It was an Irish win against a fringe Welsh team. What was worrying that the introduction of one quality Welsh player and Ireland couldn't cope. However it was a win and it will be spun into the usual rhetoric of building blocks in place, ideal preparation and never an easy place to come and win etc ...

Re: Who cares about the Irish rugby team?

Frank, I have no doubt they will have been told by their employers to keep their mouths shut or face sanctions. Employers have been threatening employees like that for generations. That's why we have unions. All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing ... (Ironically, the bloke w...

Re: Who cares about the Irish rugby team?

Im not having this players arent to blame crapola. Not one of them said a word or have shown any support for the lads before or since since Rory Best melted after his appearance in court. No one has had the guts to even mention them by name. That is not a side worthy of my support when they cant sup...

Re: Who cares about the Irish rugby team?

Hey Frankie Baby, who loves ya? I liked you just as much before your most recent sex change, but hey, any old port in a storm. Anyway, about the only topic to bring me back here is the FIRFUCs. Just so nobody gets the wrong idea, I will never ever in my long-legged life forgive those horrible Warre...

Who cares about the Irish rugby team?

Does anyone on here still support Ireland ? It's a shame I can't now as I can't support a set up that were either complicit or completely passive in the wrong doing towards our lads. I thought I was ambivalent until I saw them being obliterated by England and I realised I actually enjoyed it! Possib...

Re: RWC warm up matches

Scotland? I was thinking Russia! England has always been a playful hate for me. Ireland go beyond that now and are anti rugby in my view. John Pullins England side showed more integrity and solidarity towards Ireland than this current shower will ever know. And they faced actual terrorist threats wi...

Re: Japan RWC

Plus 1 Rum. As I said on another thread Ben Stokes is repaying his set up for the backing they showed him. He feels the need to repay the faith. With Ireland it's the exact opposite effect. I predicted that this side would unravel after the PJ /SO affair as it demonstrates a set up packed with self ...
