Re: Dragons v Ulster Sun 8th Nov 2:30pm Dave Parade BBCNI

My opinion- with the run of games we have, the injury/age and composition of the squad we have to do this type of team now. With Bowe out long term and Trimble and Ludik injured Gilroy is our last first choice back 3 player, can't get him injured playing the Dragons plus Scholes/Arnold/Nelson need g...

Re: Dragons v Ulster Sun 8th Nov 2:30pm Dave Parade BBCNI

Trimble and Ludik are both injured- Scholes and Nelson are worth their place in the backline -Arnold on the wing is a surprise. McCall -I thought he was rated a very good technical prop- great he gets his chance, Similarly Mulholland had a good game against Leinster A and we need more SID there- so ...

Re: Are we headed for dark times??

I think Les will lift the players performances by his man management skills as much as anything else. It was interesting to read Trimble talking about the coaches- saying how impressed he was with Doak and his preparation and attacking patterns and that all the players love Kiss. Hopefully at any ra...

Re: Doakie

Its frustrating as hell as that side should be performing much, much better. I'm not in a big rush to judge Doak just yet- I would query Clarke as the forwards miss fire regularly and there also seems to be a dearth in forwards coming through the academy which he was involved with? I'm interested so...

Re: Any danger of Alan O'Connor getting a game?

As for AoC I had assumed he was injured/his condition had flared up as he was great last season, hope he is back in the squad soon. What condition are you talking about, Stu? Firebell I think had mentioned something of a condition which would flare up and restrict his game time- he seems to be in t...

Re: Any danger of Alan O'Connor getting a game?

My fault Cap'n! Apologies- just wondered what the impression was- I like the look of Nelson and thought he was doing well- good pass, decent defence good range on his kicks just needs to add goal kicking to his repertoire. Humph has the goal kicking but is inconsistent and weak in defence, I'd hope ...

Re: Any danger of Alan O'Connor getting a game?

Any word on Olding? He was the water boy on friday night- still expected back after christmas I presume. Taggart is another possibility at back row - a year further on than Dow but hasn't featured yet [bar 5 minutes in one of the freindlies- he seemed alright]- went on the Emerging Ireland tour. Wh...

Re: 2015-2016 what's to be done?

I'm hoping that the idea to give most of the game time to Herbst and Black was to give us a battle hardened first choice unit for the future. Lutton you'd hope would be brought back into the fold and firmly establish himself as the next choice after Herbst and B Ross has been surprisingly solid bar ...

Re: question... for everyone...

CT - not a disaster signing. We didn't play him. Fat Joe was a disaster. you are of course correct BR…. however the people that benefited from this signing was 1. Raaymaker who pocketed a nice little earner for his Ulster holiday and 2. His management agency Esportif. Was it not prudent to have cov...

Re: Humphreys Poaches Jonny Bell

Cheers Rooster- would have given us serious depth at loose head if he was fit and come home. Good to hear he is still playing- thought those injuries might have been the end of him.

Paddy Mac signed as well.
Resigned for us or for Gloucester? Has he been getting much game time? Would be great to have him back fit and ready to go.
