Re: Brian Moore - love him or hate him?

perhaps the BEEB need to go regional on 6 nations weekend. Maybe give us the choice of watching BBC england on the red button. Although, in saying that I'd maybe prefer to listen to the english boys that some eejit like Watson...

Re: Wallace Agrees New Contract With Ulster

Fair enough, although I have been hard on Paddy I'm happy enough to see him stay as long as he isn't first choice 10 or 12. Last 20 minutes when the gaps appear, that's Paddy's forte. agree 110%. I'm not even sure if it's because of the gaps, rather, I think maybe becasue there is less pressure on ...

Re: Ulster Squad for Dragons

I think we should okay as well. I don't hink he has any other option but to go with steiner and paddy - plenty of kicking options there. Boss is an interesting call. He's been on poor form this season, but a new coach may be the lift he needs. Reddan hasn't overally impressed me this 6N and the 9 sh...

Re: Worst 6 nations in years?

I didn't mention wales V scotland because it was so dull I'd wiped it from my memory. Naw, it wasn;t that bad but it wasn't great. To date, the games have been littered with handling errors and no side appears to have any real gameplan. France, Ireland, Wales and England have shown glimpses of poten...

Worst 6 nations in years?

Aplogies for the negativity, but I have to say that IMHO the the standard of this year's 6 nations isn't great. In fairness, Wales, France and England are to a degree rebuilding or have new coaches. However, I am yet to see a side put in an 80 minute performance. England have shown glimmers of poten...

Any sign of GRM jumping ship too? Yeah, van the man was a pain in the Brennan. Occasionally he had the odd mildly amusing moment. Wonder what he's doing with all his free time?

Rearranged Fixture/Tuesday night rugby at ravers?

http://www.ulsterrugby.com/11_6495.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; This sounds a bit absurd. Surely, a more suitable date in the calender could have been found? Fair enough to give Munster every chance in the Heiny, but to relegate Ulster to a Tuesday night is a joke. Ho...

Re: Ulster's Best set to be a Saint

200k a year for Besty? Maybe it was better to let him go. Yes, he always gave 100% for Ulster but over the past year or so I've always felt that he's become a bit obsessed with his trademark big hits. He's not the best on the ground, he's not the best support player, he's not the best ball carrier. ...

he's a real bruiser - not afraid to get stuck in and loves the contact. One of the few positives Ulster rugby can take from this season.

Brian Moore - love him or hate him?

I reckon Mr Moore deserves a thread of his own! I have to say for years I thought he was a bit of an eejit, but I fear I am coming around to his way of thinking! Yes, he is one of the most biassed commentators in the world. England this, England that etc etc etc. However, he does quite often call a ...

Re: France v Ireland

In fairness to the Jackass, the French stopped competing at the lineout when Rory came on. Instead, they focused on preventing the rolling maul. That said, Jackman was out on his feet on the 50 min mark. He's hardly one for the future anyway. I'd imagine he'll now drop out of the 22. I'm still not c...

Re: Wallace set to Stay

Yes Captain, I am a step ahead of myself here... I think it is a fair assumption that a 10 is top of the shopping list for owr new coach. I'd imagine someone like Dan Parks would be a realistic option. Howver, we're losing squad players like McMillan and Barker at the rate of knots. Experienced play...

Re: France v Ireland

The 2 irish full backs were poor. Thought trimble looked shakey enough at times at 12. Probably just needs a few more games at that level. However, being the 'token' ulsterman he'll no doubt come in for critisicm. Jackman was a joke at 2. He'd be better off at basketball with those lobs and he reall...

Re: Bowe?

Dempsy and Murphy look pretty clueless out on the wing. In fairness, Kearny has really impressed me of late but the other wing is a joke. Bowe should be knocking on the door big time. If the rest of the Osrpeys side plays international rugby, so should tommy!!
