Re: Marcell Speculation

I'll be sorry to see Marcel go - he has been brilliant over the last couple of years. However with big operations on both knees, I was always worried he was going to break down every match - especially as there were always two or three defenders waiting to tackle him. I wish him well and I hope he g...

Good determination and speed from Izuchukwu for his try and a couple for Sexton. A couple of good Connacht tries as well.

Ironic that Ireland's best out half is currently playing for London Irish!

Re: Ulster v Toulouse Friday December 11th 8pm KO

Well played Ulster - we gave one of the best teams in Europe a good run for heir money. We were missing so many front line players and when we lost Coetzee and Carter early in the second half I thought Toulouse were going to run away with it. But we stuck in a fought well and could have got closer i...

Re: Peel gone?

Much as I loved, admired, stood in awe of Ruan, I'm not sure about him as a coach, for two reasons. First, he seems too 'nice'. He's a quiet self effacing soul, not what is necessary for a good coach. My second reason is that he is an instinctive player. He seems to just do it. If you were to ask h...

Re: Ulster v Toulouse Friday December 11th 8pm KO

Given the size of the Toulouse pack I wonder if it's worth considering a 6/2 bench, to have a lock and 2 back row options. Assume Cooney / Lowry cover 10, so a scrum half plus whichever centre/wing doesnt start Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk I think that would be a good call having a 6/2 benc...

Re: Edinburgh vs ULSTER MOTM?

Easy choice with John Andrews - he had a really good game in both the tight and the loose.

The whole pack played well - with a good showing by Dan Carter.

I also think Stewart Moore will be the Irish No 12 for the 2023 World Cup - for a young guy he can do everything!

Re: Edinburgh v Ulster Rugby – Monday KO 20:15

Apart from that 15-20 minutes in the second half Ulster were by far the stronger team and ran out easy winners. Aaron Sexton looked a little bit lost at times - but so did Baloucoune in his first few matches. With his physique I'm sure Aaron will develop into a Jonny May type player - he just needs ...

Re: Edinburgh v Ulster Rugby – Monday KO 20:15

Apparently Mr Roberts is a young South African playing for Rainey as Big Merv pointed out. He looks pretty useful in his highlights reel - but don't they all when they leave out all the bad bits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxPSU2yAsDc Is Adam McBurney paying the price for not winning that last ...
