Re: Ingerlund eh?eh?eh?

It is totally inappropriate and crass! The English ego knows no bounds.

What next? Instead of QBE sponsoring PRL teams it will be OBE  ??!!

Re: Cardiff v Ulster PRO 12 Round 3

That teams going to do damage. Cardiff are most definately going to kop an unfortunate one! SUFTUM Big battle up front. Cardiff gave Glasgow a lot of punishment in the forwards - and Glasgow are no slouches in that department. The Warwick v Jones battle is a juicy prospect and will really test the ...

Re: The Great Stout Scandal

[quote="OneMore="BaggyTrousers"] Are you two similarly opposed to hip flasks? Does it make a difference if the hip flask is accompanied by Mount Charles' pints? What about those who crack out the Thermos flask full of hot tea for half time on those cold winter nights - likewise shunne...

Re: Always With Us

Thoughts are with the family who see the empty chairs every day. Whilst we all have fond memories of great exploits witnessed from the old stand at Ravenhill, my enduring memory of that edifice will the memorial service for Nevin when the Rugby family came together to give thanks for what we had fro...

Re: Who was your MOTM for ULSTER vs Zebre?

Thankfully there were quite a few contenders last night. Ludik had an excellent game - always made yards and created opportunities as well as being first rate in defence (that try saving tackle!). But for me Robbie Diack just shades it - his work rate was immense - imperious at the lineout, tackled ...

Re: Weegie Independence

As far as I know the Union with Ireland Act is ... :thumbleft: This is good stuff mate. If we ever do decide to come back to the motherland it seems the UK Parliament can't stop us as we are technically still in it per UK Statute. Is that correct? Sorry to say Shan that it ain't the case! The Anglo...

Not sure about Munster, but I think I read recently that Leinster have about 13,500 ST holders.

Some interesting stats - I hadn't realised that we had imported so many players from Munster - e.g. Trimble, Olding, Henry, Diack!

Re: Who was your MOTM for ULSTER vs Scarlets?

Hard to look past Olding for this one, albeit there were a couple of criminal missed touch kicks. VDM was rock solid especially at the line out, and I thought Ludik had a solid game also.

No voting opportunity for 'Paddy the pundit'??

Re: Clarke confirmed as Ulster Rugby’s forwards coach

Seems strange giving him a year when the new head coach joins in November Easterby Out In the highly unlikely event that this does happen I don't see us changing the entire coaching ticket mid-season. If we have a new head coach in November I imagine he'll be waiting until the end of the season to ...

Re: Rugby in the Community

About 4 miles from CIYMS to the centre of Ballybeen. Just over 5 to Ards RFC. There is a 34 yo Andrew Tyrie listed as a director with the Ballybeen Improvement Group so probably not "Uncle Andy". That'll be 4 miles from Grosvenor to Ballybeen then?! CI will remain in Belmont in splendid i...

I suspect that CI would be quite happy not to be recorded as being close to Ballybeen - it is in Belmont after all! Let Ards take that glory - they're not fussy! :stir: :duck:
