Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

Testing sufficiently is absolutely desirable - France has a worse testing rate than the UK and has a considerably higher death rate just using official figures while Germany has 3x the testing rate and less than 1/4 the death rate of the UK. Netherlands took a similar initial approach to the UK, now...

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

Spot on JB. Totally unacceptable that different rules should apply for different folk. Leadership is important at these times. The lack of this is or should be a concern for UK citizens now more than ever.

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

Governments have cases to answer for both not taking decisive early action and not having sufficient resources in place. However the public also need to answer for their own actions which have potential impacts on tackling this thing. More than 100 coronavirus-related fines have been issued in three...

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

This fecking working from home is proving to be a bit of a pain in the balls. I thought it would be a bit of relief but I actually have to work. Still though when I think of all the poor feckers who've lost their jobs it provides perspective. Feck but it looks like we are in for the long haul. The n...

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

Think about this; not as simple as it appears. Now that we have time during this shutdown of all things rugby. This could actually solve a long-term problem in Irish rugby. Although anyone could list 70+ top Irish professional rugby players listing four perfectly good fifteens plus a few reserves n...

Anyone think a dose of Covid 19 would be better than reading the ramblings of Rum?

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

Our SF/DUP leaders have been a disgrace. Under a thin veneer of unity they have disagreed on loads of fundamental issues with Snarlene slavishly following UK govt policy with no regard to the local circumstances in NI. Jim Allister is right . Stormont in it's current form is not fit for purpose. I ...

I further see that there are some real gowls about the place - Two people arrested by Gardai for coughing at them. How sad.

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

Also I see that Prince Charles has tested positive. I wonder who will tie his shoelaces, comb his hair and brush his teeth while he is in isolation. :D

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

I see the Lt. Governor of Texas has said "older people would rather die than let COVID-19 affect the US Economy" I wonder if they took a poll of the folk 70 years and over would they vote in favour of removing restrictions and agreeing to dying at home if they got infected so as not to clo...

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

Hope the government will give assistance with the telephone bills -- the wife is on the phone for hours with all her friends and family. Probably just doing everything she can to avoid having to talk to you. To be honest your wife should already be a long term recipient of a government grant for ha...

Re: Coronavirus 2020 - What can I do?

Irish Govt enacting legislation to detain anyone who has the virus that refuses to self isolate. Normally I wouldn't be in favour of the state having that type of power but in this case I agree with this.

Re: Ulster Squad 2019/20

If nothing else it will offer an opportunity to blame the Ra every time Ulster loses a game when Mads is playing. :D

It won't matter that he wore the boots to honour his great grandfather who was a doctor who tended to injured folk on the streets of Dublin in 1916...
