The backline is ridiculously strong and the replacements are exciting too. Hope the pack delivers!

Re: Any word on the Academy?
Good to see Tom Stewart back on the bench at least. Very strong side. "Harry Sheridan has retained the captaincy for this game, having led the side last weekend versus Munster. He will partner Adam McNamee in the second row. Callum Reid is named at loosehead, with James McCormick selected at ho...

Re: Vermeulen
Massive signing and gives us a real lift. I think his influence on the young back rows coming through could set up a bit of a legacy- not just McCann but some of the guys like Sheridan, McNabney etc coming through the system. Could really drive forward the culture of the squad like Muller did. Plus ...

You have Rea snr and Jones as options too. Decidedly underwhelming options. Agree Snipe. Every time I have seen Rea jnr play for Ulster he has been pretty decent but it seems like he is not rated that highly by the coaches. Rea snr and Jones are fine for home games against the likes of Dragons and ...

Match report- https://www.ulsterrugby.com/2021/09/match-report-leinster-rugby-development-xv-27-ulster-rugby-development-xv-34/ Doak seems to have been a major factor but it sounds like a really good team performance- Victory was ultimately deserved by Ulster, who started the game like a team posses...

Re: PRE SEASON FRIENDLY
My comments above seem to hold true, tickets now on general sale for the first three home games https://www.ulsterrugby.com/2021/09/season-tickets-and-match-tickets-now-on-general-sale/ This also confirms that UR has less than 10,000 ST holders. Does it? It says capacity is now at 15000 for the fir...

Thats a great result- thought they were on for a hiding . I hope there's a match report -it would be good to know who played well etc. Interested to see how Allison and Egan got on. Zac Ward reappearing is interesting.

Re: Saracens v Ulster Thursday 5pm Saracens Website
Massively impressed with Marcus Rea. Great carrying work and a force at the breakdown. Hope to see him and the likes of McCann getting some more minutes in the league. Yeah totally agree with you there - thought he looked good last season when he got his chances- maybe our replacement for Henry? Th...

Looks good- surprised no Doak but good to see Cooney starting. No EoS? Harry Sheridan on the bench again is good. Thats a very dynamic front row on the bench too, strong side overall ..

Re: Any word on the Academy?
Cheers for the scores.. well that evidently went well- every Ulster representative side lost this weekend.. ouch..
Still these things happen and there are still a few good players in those sides to come through which is the important thing. But wins are nice..

Re: Ulster vs Saracens
Good to see Reid, Doak and Sexton get starts- all three could establish themselves in the first team. Allison, McCann and Sheridan on the bench hopefully we get a chance, McCann obviously a bit more established but all three could add to our back row stocks over the season and Rea Jr at 7 is a great...

Re: United Rugby Championship
Looks like all Ulster matches will be available 24hrs after on IPlayer. Also if Ulster make the final it will also be shown by the BBC. Every Ulster Rugby match in the URC will be available on BBC iPlayer 24 hours after each round with clips of the best action and tries on the BBC Sport NI website ...
