Re: Kits Off
The FIRFU need to see sense. They are still of the view that too many foreign players will block local talent. We have demonstrated very clearly that this is far from the truth. Connacht were allowed different rules around NIQs at a time. Each province should have a weighted number of permitted NIQs...

Re: Bobby B
So at 10.30 in the BT, the ice hockey correspondent posts a story, behind the paywall, seemingly about how Bobby B is ready to prove his worth again for Ulster. One minute later, Michael Sadlier of the same parish, has a piece on 42.ie saying that Bobby is included in the extended squad for the Oly...

Re: Kits Off
Don't worry the tight ends will only insist on switching to loose ends. Then they will have nothing to do.justinr73 wrote:We don’t need a Wide Receiver though.
We need a couple of Linebackers and a Defensive Tackle.
I’ll leave the Tight End gag for Dave.

Re: Where does the future lie?
It all comes down to money. They have it in Leinster. Less so everywhere else. Apart from a certain golfer I'm not allowed to mention.

A few seasons ago, he was the best loose head in the world. Unreal carrier and jackal king at the breakdown. He looks a bit out of shape now tbh. If we can reinvest then great. If it's just to stay afloat then we are fcuked.

Re: Any word on the Academy?
Looking like our academy intake this year will be the following: Bryn Ward (Backrow) James McKillop (Lock/Backrow) Jack Murphy (Flyhalf) Sam Berman (Centre) Wilhelm de Klerk (Flyhalf/Centre) Have either of the out Half's got good potential? Jack Murphy is very talented. He has a great kicking game....

Re: Stormers v Ulster Saturday March 30th 5:15pm Viaplay Sports
I'm surprised at the nonchalance about SK potentially leaving. It means losing 2 looseheads if EOS is also leaving as reported. That leaves us with Big Licence who probably only has a couple of seasons left in him and Callum Reid who has been injured. Few lads in the Academy but they'll need a few ...

Re: Stormers v Ulster Saturday March 30th 5:15pm Viaplay Sports
The stormers weren't that bad. Very robust and physical in defence. They were not there for the taking. It was a huge effort to keep the game so close. Their attack didn't click but they did have the luxury of bringing on quality players. We swapped the Rea bros, ffs. We only have one current inter...
