Re: Benetton v Ulster Saturday January 7 1pm KO (UK Time) Viaplay (Premier) Sports 1 / URC TV / Super Sport

Good is a first rate stadium (free by the way), much better than somewhere like RDS or Thomond as it’s built for 18,000, on all four sides, plus better facilities. Good is also to see more diversified crowds. the numbers will return but w...

Re: Ulster v La Rochelle - Saturday (Sunday?) Ravenhill (RDS?)

A post from Babbling Brook. Is Jackman winding up or is there something in this? ‘Pretty direct words from both ROC & Jackman on separate podcasts today and not complimentary of Ulster. Seemingly they messed up and didn't get the covers down until very late last week so pitch was 60% unplayable ...

Glasgow relocated to Murrayfield for this evening’s Challenge Cup match. Don’t know whether there were paying spectators.

Re: Ulster v La Rochelle - Saturday (Sunday?) Ravenhill (RDS?)

I may be alone in this opinion, but I actually think Carter is having a decent season, and playing much better than last year (when in fairness he was absolutely useless, and I was bewildered by the decision to extend his contract). I imagine the thinking is that he offers more set piece ballast / ...

‘And one for James Hume, you have to earn the right to posture and strut, and if you think beating a Leinster B side gave you that kudos, then more fool you.’ This! Our backs are not in good form bar McCloskey, Marshall and Moore (when playing in position). The second half was grim viewing, but I th...

Re: Ulster v Zebre Friday November 25th 7.35pm UK Time BBC NI

A frustrating watch. Result never in doubt but they made heavy weather of it. Crowd not engaged at all. Perhaps after the second try they lost a bit of concentration, which will be disastrous against better opposition. Tom Stewart was excellent, puts himself about to good effect, makes a tackle, get...

Re: Rory Sutherland to join Ulster short term

Perhaps the wrong thread but at least it’s about a prop. ‘Veteran loosehead prop Steven Kitshoff has given the DHL Stormers over a decade of service and head coach John Dobson says the club will not stand in the Springbok’s way if he wants to join Ulster. Kitshoff is reportedly set to join Ulster on...

Ian Madigan sustained a left knee injury during Saturday’s BKT URC home fixture against the Ospreys. He will have ...
