Re: Motorised bicycles.

Cycle to work scheme - IIRC works the same as home computer scheme, etc. Your company buys the equipment, leases it to you for n years and then sells it to you for a nominal amount. You basically pay the full price, but direct from your salary it is tax and NI free. (so you save on that and the comp...

Re: PETROL PRICES - 2008 - POST UPDATES HERE

Gerry I have it from a reliable contact that they can increase some of the fields but others are decreasing and the net effect would be status quo at the very best but in most estimations output will decrease due to more fields closing and running down, take a look at some of the output figures in ...

Re: Euro seedings.

OK - got pssed off with the grid system, too many crosschecks to be done after every selection. So back to the drawing board to consider the requirements: A random draw. But it has to meet other certain requirements. Solution: The monkey-typewriter-shakespear solution aka try-try-and-try again (that...

Re: Euro seedings.

Haven't had much time to look at it today, but I did spot something that may be a fly in the ointment (not that I'm trendy enough to drink ointment in the fly anymore). I think I've discovered a scenario that necessitates an extra level of cross-checking. Just a hunch at the minute, but will examine...

Re: Euro seedings.

Now that the published grid has been Quality Assured by Cables, I will try and get the revised version ( ) to replace it out there tomorrow. Basically 'T2/4' should read 'T2/3' and the 'Muns, Lla, F3/2, Quins' row was ommitted. Although I suspect the 2 people who are still reading this thread ...

Re: Euro seedings.

Could the following result from the draw for Tier 2 teams? Pool , Tier 1 , Tier 2 1 , IRE 1 , FRA 4 2 , FRA 1 , IRE 2 3 , FRA 2 , WAL 1 4 , ENG 1 , only ENG 3/5 available 5 , FRA 3 , ENG 4 6 , ENG 2 , only ENG 3/5 available No it couldn't happen - Pools 1 and 2 above are mutually exclusive (as both...

OK - the file is at http://www.stoutboys.co.uk/RWC/ERCdrawgridA.mht" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The idea is You work your way from left to right. So if The first team out is French, then you draw the second team from {Leinster, Llanelli, the English Tier 2 sides}, that wi...

Re: Euro seedings.

I worked out a sort of grid, which I think works. Draw the Tier1 team and then based on its nationality decide which tier 2 teams are available, then based on that which T3 teams, etc.... If at any point the previous draws have exhausted the possible allocations, then that route through the grid is ...

Re: Euro seedings.

Think we have been here or thereabouts before (that ECC winner entitlement re which you may have noticed that ERC have not replied to me). I tend to take the latest as definitive and you seem to take it as purely modifying, where necessary, prior arrangements. If that is a fair assessment of how we...

Maybe the Ravers beer man would get chased off the yellow paint by eventsec in the period of time between handing over the beers and receiving the payment. :thumleft: And deservedly so - anyone who would hand over the beer before receiving the cash, should be in a home for the hard of thinking not ...

Re: Euro seedings.

Do you see anything in the above to suggest that the 7th French team to qualify MUST be one of the two French teams in the same pool and that irrespective of ERC seeding? I had taken it that other aspects of the qualifying system were unchanged from the status quo. (23rd qualifier's nationality is ...

Re: Euro seedings.

I think there is some confusion about the 7th French qualifier. It is my understanding (and please correct me if I've missed something) that it is the 7th French QUALIFIER who will be in the pool with another french team. That is distinct from the 7th French SEED. (Although current T14 positions wou...
