Is 50k too small for a final?
Yes.

The Aviva was perfect for Ulster v Embra but inadequate for the final.

If any sense prevailed in Dublin, the Aviva and Croke Park would both be available for rugby/soccer and GAA.

Near enough.

5k sold last week; 19k today; 15 k for the finalists. Just leaves about 12,000 - can't see too many of those going on general sale.

19,000 tickets went on sale at noon today - none left now. I grabbed a couple at 12:01.

Shhhh! Don't tell Baggy but me granda was a Scouser.

Still can't bring myself to support their national side though but tis true - their fans are invariably gents (and ladies).

Re: Mexicans

So basically those of us at the game met some great Ulster/Leinster/Munster/Other fans, but there were also some boorish Ulster/Leinster/Munster/Other fans..... Quelle surprise.... A very small minority of boorish fans far as I could see. Mercifully, most of the a***holes who travelled to D...

Re: The fans today...

OK Anyone admitting to being one of the two drunken eejits who ran onto the pitch at the end? Actually, both still probably enjoying the hospitality of the cells in Twickenham Police Station! I met one of them and can confirm that he did not spend the night in the cells. Seemed sound enough and a b...

Re: Mexicans

Speak as you find of course, but apart from a couple of Mexicans having a traditional "spilt pint" arguement amongst the mayhem in the Orange Tree during the Champions League Final I found them grand. Travelled back on the late tube with a bunch of them and the crack was good. The cheeky b...

Re: What’s yer gut sayin?

Scientific fact: Farts are hard to detect on a plane. Not sure if it's the pressure in the cabin, the ventilation or the in-flight meals masking the odour.

Know how you feel lads. Watched the Season Ticket thing last night which didn't help. Had to watch the cricket jhighlights afterwards to settle dow. Trying very hard to keep a lid on it at the minute. Hopefully the travel arrangements will distract me a bit this evening. Looking forward to min...

Re: BBC sports news this morning ....

I'm starting to get well p$ssed off with all this. Do the BBC really need to be trawling around for stories like this? My own perception is that they are totally representative. I'm living in a GAA heartland in South Down for most of the week and everybody seems to be supportive and interested in Ul...
