Re: Geordan Murphy replaces Rob Kearney

I still think Earls and Trimble will start with Murphy on the bench. I think those who belittle Duffy must have missed the "A" games because in both Duffy was a contender for MOTM his form and play has much improved this year and he looked like the player everyone expected him to be but wh...

Re: Danielli Starts for Scotland

Given the opposition and the number of injuries Scotland have after the Welsh match it shouldn't surprise anyone.

ie Italy seldom attack wide thus Danielli defence will not be tested to a great extent and his attacking speed will be a big plus

Re: Positives & Negatives: Ulster V Dragons

The problem playing the Dragons is they have an effective lineout this denys their opponents the opportunity to play a territorial game -- ie kick for the corners since they ( the dragons ) will let the ball go into touch win the lineout and kick down field --- this then means their opposition are n...

Re: Where do your loyalties lie? Ulster or Ireland?

Rugby is not like football if you go to match or watch a game on television you know before you go or switch on who you like to win when I go to an Ulster match Ulster regardless of opponents same with Ireland any other Irish team provided they aren't playing against Ulster -- Club matches -- just w...

Re: Myers hooks O'Gara.

Say what i mean the guy writes a column and is paid for the column not for an idea/conclusion which can be stated in a sentence but all he is stating is what everybody concluded after the game O'leary is not the same player as last year --O'Gara had a poor game in attack and defence -- and in my opi...

Re: Myers hooks O'Gara.

He is an Irish writer from the school of Irish writers that prefers metaphors to facts and conclusions based on ideas as a talker the sound would be more important than the substance. The article can be summed up in a sentence picking O'Gara and O' Leary against the french was a mistake and both sho...

Re: Starting Team for Dragons game

my read would be that Diack is considered as not fully fit for an 80 min run and it would be better coming on from the bench than starting

surprised that Trimble is allowed to start and would expect him to be subed early with Best and Wallace

Re: Flannery absolute disgrace

You have seen the evidence not once but several times members of the jury guilty or innocent ? I actual wish that a French man was on the panel Then they couldn't claim that it was an Anglo/Irish cover -up but then again for fear of such a claim the panel might inflict the max. Our Jerry has previou...

Re: Flannery absolute disgrace

Never said Stade would have a say but if anyone thinks the French won't make reference to the bans imposed on the Stade players they are living in a fools paradise remember Munster are still in the ERC and so are a goodly number of french sides the longer the ban on Flannery the better pleased they ...

Re: We need new team for world cup

front row starting against England should be Healy Best and Court with Hayes on the bench due to the fact that English front is preceived as weak due to injuries the other area I think we are becoming exposed is the backrow openside on a number of occasions Wallace was lining out on the wing in loos...

Re: Positives & Negatives: Ireland V France

didn't infer Mike that they did but the third try was a rush defence and there where fewer instances of the drift defence than usual as much due to the fact that France were attacking the mid field and not out wide on the wings

Re: Flannery absolute disgrace

If one takes into account the current state of Anglo/Irish--French rugby relations Jerry is going to sit out for at least 8- 12 weeks

to appease Stade

Re: Positives & Negatives: Ireland V France

Maybe because its alot of "bullocks"

other than the fact the Irish defence leeked like a welsh golf cart when stopped on the Motorway
