Re: 9/10 and World Dominance.

My old dad used to say if it ain't broken don't fix it. Look at our record this season. We all know it is not down to one man it's a team effort but in my view some people have been key and PJ is one of them. He is not just the future he is the present and worth his place for his defensive skills al...

Re: Positives and negatives: Ulster V lllannnnellli

I felt our friends from West England were very adept at blocking advancing players, holding back players and other activities more akin to American Football than Rugby Union and remained largely unpunished by the ref. On balance a few missed forward passes in favour of Ulster hardly swung the game t...

Re: How To Welcome Dylan Hartley

I think he should be given a courteous and warm welcome-after all that's the Ulster way. Forgot to say next weekend that should be done from 500 miles away perhaps by snail mail or e-mail starting with "It is with the deepest personal regret that I understand you will be unable gouge,punch,nibb...

Re: Ireland v Argentina........Nov 2012

Ireland played well today against a very under powered Argentina. I wonder how Ireland XV would have faired? If I examine Ireland's game it has to be said it was not our usual style wingers actually got the ball, centers ran with the ball and even on some occasions managed to pass it. Gilroy has a m...

Re: Ireland v Argentina........Nov 2012

Congratulations to Gilroy mind you not before time. Like others on this forum I feel his selection was forced on Kidney because of Gilroys sparkling play against Fiji and if given a choice and no media interference then McFadden would have replaced the scapegoat that is Trimble. I only hope Gilroy g...

Re: Ireland A(ish) Vs Fiji

Kidney's response at the end of the game was probably oh noooooooo. These young "fellas" have gone and done what I told them to do they stood up to be counted what do I do now. The southern press with the exception of George Hook in enthusing about the young Ulster players have totally ove...

Re: Declan Kidney – the amazing diminishing rugby coach

I think the trend of criticism towards the coaching structure and the coach hits the nail on the head. Reflect on the Ulster team of last season. If faced with a loss of say Ferris Henry Best and our overseas contingent most of us could not see a way forward or any potential to win a match. This yea...

Re: Autumn Sqaud

Kidney's style of play, loyalty to players who are off form results in disappointment from the fans surplus tickets or very slow take up for major internationals. Don't let anyone tell you its the economic conditions in the ROI which is creating the gaps in the Stadium particularly when we have full...

Re: Positives & Negatives: Ulster V Glasgee (2)

Agree with bazzaj it was all in the scrum.TC had little chance with the boring in and lifting by his opposite number aided and abetted by the Glasgow no6 who also managed to get himself underneath TC to lift up as well. No protection from the ref or line.
