Re: London Scottish/Welsh

Ok... Not sure why the hostility but hey ho. But sure which 5th region you're referring to? Celtic Warriors (Bridgend/Ponty)? The whole ownership back and forth with Leighton Samuels and the WRU? The disaffection with regional rugby in one of the real hot beds of the game? The WRU winding them up? O...

Re: London Scottish/Welsh

Stu, your tuppence worth is wrong, and another example of mad cats shîte, governence and affiliation is two separate things. Thanks for the balanced and reasoned response. Yes governance and affiliation are different things. Clearly. However as I said if there was a will to do it wouldn't be ...

Re: London Scottish/Welsh

Really good idea that's been bandied about for some time. No real reason why it couldn't happen if there was the will. Stu, for it to happen the RFU would have to allow two of its teams to enter a cross Union competition or leave the RFU. There's two real reasons  Hi Kofi, clubs can affiliate...

If McCloskey's clear out at the ruck was worth a red, SOB's input on Friday night certainly was.

Doubt he'll be cited though.

IIRC the UAFC was initially, briefly an e-mail based group - YahooGroups I think, then migrated to this format.

Re: WELCOME to ULSTER CHARLIE Boy

You can't indemnify against the situation if UR stand their ground with their valid contract. If Charles wants out of the contract either he or his next employer will have to pay to get him out of the UR contract . Alternatively if UR decide to let him go that is only way out of not paying compensa...

Re: WELCOME to ULSTER CHARLIE Boy

Am I the only one a bit worried that between now and July 2016 that Charlie could be persuaded by Hansen et al to change his mind? No your not, I will not be 100% happy until I see him arrive in Belfast. However I would hope that UR have got a decent contract so if he does renege on it we are due s...

Re: World Cup 2015 Tickets

I joined the queue at about 9:30am and was able to buy tickets at about 10:50am. The round circle was stuck at about 11 o'clock for about 40 minutes before I got in. I joined the queue at 8:30am and still haven't got in, the circle has been progressing but has now been stuck at 11 o'clock for a goo...

Might be out of his control, looks like the same knee blown out, no idea if the same repair can be done again successfully. Such a talent being wrecked by injury after injury. Had the ACL in my left knee replaced twice, second time more successful than first. First graft from left hamstring, second...

Re: Shocking Calls

Given Garces set a precedent and we have now seen a number of red cards for 'dropping dans la tete' I think World Rugby backed him to the hilt. Trimble on that 6N thing on Friday night said as much. I think we've seen many more cases where reds should have been given if following Garces' precedent ...

Given Garces' decisions regarding contact in the air since he sent Payne off it seems fairly clear that he was told he'd got it wrong and not to do it again.
