Re: Heineken/Challenge Cup Format 23/24

Of the possible opponents, Ulster have never played Lyon and Bayonne in Top 14 and Bristol in the Premiership in the competition (to the best of my knowledge). We played Bayonne about 10 or 11 years ago (and beat them away if I remember correctly), I think the only time we played Bristol was the Ra...

Re: And today, joining the underground .....

A brave and resilient woman! Had the privilege of seeing her in the Kings Hall in 1990 - an absolutely incredible performer - such energy! I have been to hundreds of concerts and that one is way up there in my top 3!

Re: Ulster v Connacht

FWIW, I heard The42.ie clip of Jackman saying it was a "bad crowd", and it seems he meant it in the context of poor numbers in attendance. Sent from my SM-S908B using Tapatalk Not what I took from it Sham. From a numbers POV apart from some of the hospitality and about 1/5 of the Family s...

Re: Ulster v Connacht

Connacht fans in general seem a decent bunch. Never the same snidery than in D4 or Turnipstan in Galway. I'd love to see them make the final and highlight how good management can make the best of limited resources Agreed! The Connacht support was excellent and it was good to see a healthy number th...

Re: Ulster Rugby Fans' Forum | April 2023

Nobody asked about Fanning’s kitty article? Someone did ask a question - "A certain journalist/pundit thinks Ulster are punching above their weight, thoughts etc?" Can't remember exact wording of question. This may have been in reference to Fanning?? Or the Ferris one?? Mea culpa! It was ...

Re: The Irish Language - Lets try & learn one word a week.

I can't think of anything more irrelevant than this thread on a supposedly rugby supporters forum. Almost as irrelevant as that t***'er who waves the Japanese flag at Ulster rugby games, within spitting distance of the War Memorial . There are people in the crowd whose fathers and grandfathers were...

After all that nonsense talked about togetherness, anthems and Ireland's call, the big lad doesn't bother his hole singing it
The Italians made it difficult for anyone to sing it by playing it ar 33rpm instead of 45rpm!!

No coverage of the match on the Beeb ( other than score updates)ffs! Are we making a match of it - showing any real purpose?

Re: Ulster V Stormers Friday 27th 7.35pm

Got some insight tonight as to what has potentially been affecting the Ulster performance of late. Apparently the players don’t like the crowd shouting as this puts them off their concentration!! This was revealed when Gavin Andrews interviewed Craig Gilroy at half-time. Gilroy had his socks pulled ...

Very sad to hear this - the guitarist’s guitarist. Saw him about 5 or 6 years ago in the Ulster Hall - a real virtuoso performance!
