Re: What annoys people????

People pretending to be American and regarding Africa as one country; Africa has a lot of modern and relatively wealthy countries. Admittedly it also has many backward, poor and underdeveloped countries. :D Similar to the USA then with a few modern wealthy states and many backward, poor and underde...

Re: NORN IRON

Great result for Norn Iron. Three in a row - enough to start dreaming of a place in the finals... well... we can all dream.

Re: Who was your MOTM for ULSTER vs Zebre 2?

Yet again the 'least worst' side won. Looks like the least worst player gets motm. Imo Trimble - maybe he just wasn't on long enough to make too many mistakes. It's matches like this that give the Pro12 a bad name. Come to think of it I haven't seen a decent game yet this season. Our guys weren't t...

Re: Injury Update

Thought when bones healed they were stronger or is that a myth? Maybe he will need a plate? Didn't Johann have one? Already had one inserted after last fracture while on Ireland duty......... Could it be that the plate has moved, a screw come loose or something like that? May be medically impossibl...

Re: Who was your MOTM for ULSTER vs Cardiff Blues?

Actually Patchell but he's not on the list. I was surprised at Rory getting MOTM because I doubt he would have given it to himself with his high standards. I'm going to break my normal rule and not give it to a forward, even though at last we used the rolling maul really well. I'm going to give it ...

Re: Ulster Fry

Had an "Ulster Fry on a Stick" for breakfast last week, with a hard boiled egg rather than a fried egg for obvious reasons, all skewered. Winner, not least because you can't put baked beans on a stick!

Ravers caterers take note - I'd certainly nip out for one at half time.

Re: Injury Update

Bit of a rest won't do Ruan any harm. Could do our European campaign a lot of harm. I am presuming that the injury has been diagnosed on clinical examination only and a subsequent MRI will determine the extent of the damage and a more accurate estimate of his return. A highly doubt we were targetin...

Re: Video Replays 2014/2015 season

Many thanks, Rooster. Big Nick back to his barrelling best. Watching Gilroy's try, it looks like we benefitted from one of the daftest rules in world sport - if the hands go backward, it isn't a forward pass, no matter where the ball goes. Also great to see the delight on Franco's face after big Dan...

Re: Who was your MOTM for ULSTER vs Zebre?

On a night when the lineout was looking distinctly fragile, Robbie Diak is looking more and more like our best option in that department. Gets my vote for that reason along with his ball carrying and all round work rate.

Listening to Eurythmics as I write. I believe John Martyn was one of Dave Stewart's influences.

Re: The Welsh

the certainly do loans and as in Munster's case they will give very generous terms & of course why not, effectively they are lending to themselves. I seem to remember it being made clear that Ulster's loan from the IRFU was at commercial rates. Correct BR but Look at the highlighted bit, ...

Re: Ulster v Exeter 22nd August

If I'm reading this thread correctly we look to have good strength in depth from 11-15. We also seem well placed in the forwards. So long as Ruan and Ginger Prince keep injury free (and we do have at least useful backup for both) we look well placed in the half backs. Do we have good reason to be o...
