They may have had Italian teams in their group, but Northampton had to finish above the current French champs and the O's had to field 16 men to finish ahead of the current english champs to qualify, so fair play to them both. With 8 pools of 4, why do 16 teams have to progress? Why not just 8 pool winners?

I agree totally that we "blew it" but not just yesterday. Does noone else worry about the direction we are heading? Against 14 men for an entire second half we weren't wonderful - except for a team effort last try we relied on two outstanding but predominantly individual efforts from the ...
