Re: Dan’s Not the Man.

I don’t think anyone’s arguing that (yet) but there’s certainly evidence that the new boss bounce isn’t a thing anymore.

To some extent, it probably speaks to the fact that the gap between the haves and the have nots is wider than it used to be.

Re: Clermont v Ulster, Saturday April 13 12:30pm (UK Time) TNT Sports - Actual Channel TBC

This is one of those games where the French teams can down tools. They are dangerous in the 1st 30 mins and play with the freedom of it not being a league match. If you can stick with them or get a score ahead then they can become loose and ragged. The best case scenario is they throw the towel in ...

Interesting selection AoC 50 minutes then Sheridan to second row. as it will be less demanding than back row for the last 30 .
Stockdale was said to have recovered from illness and available.

Re: Dan’s Not the Man.

Not surprised by this news, he had been there too long and as per my stats earlier in the thread things were on the slide last season and most definitely this season. Interesting to see if if we see a similar "new manager bounce" as from football, when a coach is fired and the same player...

Re: Other Champions / Challenge Cup

Been to lots of games, in plenty of sports, as, in effect, a neutral. I don’t support teams I don’t support (bar rare exceptions - I once went to Colchester v Walsall at Layer Road in an unsuccessful attempt to derail the away side because it impacted upon PNE’s promotion bid at the time). If pushed...

Re: Other Champions / Challenge Cup

Looking forward to Leinster v LR tomorrow. Nearly went but the risk of seeing thousands of happy part-time Leinster fans put me off. Interesting that most of the Irish pundits seem to be going for the Champs yet the bookies, who tend to be correct more often, make the home side 7 points favourites. ...

Interesting one.

He can’t have trained too much under Murphy.

Re: Other Champions / Challenge Cup

Takn from the tournament website... The Round of 16 threw up some thrilling battles, but only eight have been able to make it to the quarter-final stage, with all matches set to take place next weekend. The highest ranked club in each match will have home venue advantage in the quarter-final and se...

Fourth red of his career, albeit none have come in his 155 league games in France and SA.

I would have Moore instead of Lowry, Wilson instead of O'Toole, and Izzy instead of AOC as others have said but Murphy will probably think differently. Moore was probably our most effective back last weekend and probably along with a McCloskey the only back you could trust to make the correct decis...

Re: Ulster's finances

However you dress it up, all the Provinces are bankrolled by the IRFU one way or another, not least Leinster in terms of their central contracts. That’s why the IRFU don’t have any money (left) either. Three wins out of thirteen (bar Leinster) in the Champions Cup this season shows something isn’t w...
