Re: Dragons Pre Match Q&A with Jonny Petrie

Apologies, I quickly updated at halftime so the point on Flannery may have been open to misinterpretation. He said that Burns would be leaving but it wasn’t for him to disclose the destination to which someone replied ‘we already know where he’s going to’ and there was no response which I took as c...

Re: The skipper

I think longer term McCann will be the captain,, but a Hume must be a strong voice during training and in team meetings to be selected as captain ahead of players like Tom Stewart, Addison, Cooney and Kitshoff.

Re: Team for Dragoons

I thought I'd take a quick look to see what the great unwashed thought of that nonsense last night. Anyone seeing that as positive needs to shed the blinkers, The greatest stat of the night is that Ulster allowed a team of dustbins who had scored 17 tries in 10 league matches to score a TBP away fr...

Re: Team for Dragoons

He brings the ball flatter to the line than Burns, can throw longer and more accurate passes and has a longer kicking game.

I think you’re drastically overrating Burns positive impact on then Ulster game.

Re: Team for Dragoons

Didn’t Doak only move to scrum half when he entered the Ulster schools side? Even then, he regularly played 10. (2nd half Vs Australia u19)

I think he’s our long term 10, but for that to happen Ulster need a calm, but quick passing scrum half

https://www.therugbyforum.com/threads/transfers-rumours.29225/page-661#post-1177786 Don't be surprised to see likes of Henderson depart and other big names. I'd also expect to see a few Leinster guys go up and basically start again with mentality of a few years pain to develop a new culture etc. I’...

Re: Dragons Pre Match Q&A with Jonny Petrie

We'll win nothing with Burns. He is a symptom of our mediocrity. Turnips are welcome to him. And we'll win nothing with Flannery either. Coming up on 26 and hasn't made an impression at either Ulster or Munster, he's as much a symptom of our mediocrity. Flannery and Burns would be acceptable as 3rd...

Re: Contract Situation

If Stu, Addison and Marshall go, centres would be Postlethwaite, Moore, Hume, Moxham.... Who else? Stockdale to 13??? Moxham doesn't look to have the ability at wing imo, so putting him anywhere near a more technical position like centre would be a disaster. The runny stuff will hit the fan if Stu ...

They couldn’t re-sign Snyman because they already had an NIQ lock in Kleyn.

Who are the Welsh crawshays? & what was the result? I’m assuming a loss, or we’d have heard it by now?

Re: Dragons Pre Match Q&A with Jonny Petrie

Who at Ulster Rugby was at fault for the debacle v LaRochelle? Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk And does he think fans are stupid enough to believe the monetary loss of one fixture has left Ulster in complete financial ruin. Ferris said on the Viaplay URC podcast the other day that apparently th...

Re: Dan’s Not the Man.

I wonder would Aki, JGP, Hansen and Lowe et al have flourished under recent Ulster coaching tickets had they had this misfortune to end up here? They landed on these shores essentially as glorified journeymen and have been improved. Compare and contrast our mob who, at best, get a sympathy cap for ...
