Re: The Golf

If it's from a newspaper cutting why doesn't the sun tell us who they are?
That makes me suspect it might be a photoshop job, the likeness is too good.

https://getintorugby.worldrugby.org/images/generic/twelves-set-up-en.jpg If number 6 is actually Number 8, why not make number 6 the Fly Half? Also, why is number 9 the Inside Centre rather than Outside Centre? Or here's an idea, why not just 'Centre'? These and other questions will be answered on ...

Re: Brexit - now we see what it means.

That Ireland may be seeking help from the EU in the event of a no deal Brexit is driving the comments section nuts on the telegraph. Pushing on nearly 4,000 comments so far about backstabbing and the imminent takeover of Ireland by blacks and muslims. Ireland wants hundreds of millions in EU aid to ...

Re: Japan RWC

Anyway I thought it was practically respectable to be a gangster in Japan. They like everyone else there conform to strict codes of conduct and only break the law within parameters agreed with the police.

https://getintorugby.worldrugby.org/images/generic/twelves-set-up-en.jpg It's actually played to some extent apparently. I looked on youtube but sadly couldn't find anything. 3 players fewer per side means 6 players fewer per squad or maybe even 9 fewer?? Add to that fewer injuries per match and sq...

Re: The New CEO

Interesting article here on the decline in Munster's attendences at Thomond Park since 2008. It contained this driveby against Ulster: It was 2010 when Ulster announced equally ambitious aims to be world’s best. That target ended ignominiously in 2018. Two high profile players sacked. Coaches ousted...

Re: Favourite try

FFS everyone knows the risks when they step onto a rugby pitch just like any other sport. Exactly, hence the concern that parents are becoming increasingly reluctant to allow their children to play the game. Do you have stats to back that up? To back up a fall off in numbers or the concern about a ...

Re: Japan RWC

Serious question - as Japan has serious cultural problems regarding Tattoos I never knew this was the case. I also find them disgusting but it doesn't put me off watching sport. In soccer James McClean has his skinny arms covered in tattoos, looks a right show, like some kid who's scrawled biro all...

why don't you die?

Police in Australia responded to reports of a man screaming "why don't you die?" by dispatching multiple units to a home in Perth. But officers were soon told to stand down when they found a man who “had only been trying to kill a spider", according to the police log published online...

Re: Favourite try

Read a suggestion the other week to turn rugby into a 12 man game by getting rid of the flankers and the outside centre. The motivation was to decrease serious injuries by increasing the amount of space, fewer incidences of players trying to go through players and fewer dangerous two on one type tac...

Re: Favourite try

I think that you'd end up with too many drop goals like I believe they had in France in the recent past.
Get to the 22, go for a drop goal, it's boring.

One thing I'd like them to do is to drastically cut the length of time players get to take a place kick.
