Re: Schools Cup 2019/20

That is exactly what this is - 6 groups of 4 play out for seeding and a trophy.

No point in playing 15th v 2nd. Big score does no one any good.
I watched Doak play for Ulster Vs Australia and without him I'd be confident they would have lost otherwise.
Out of interest why do you think that? I was at the game.

Re: Any word on the Academy?

Dude, chill out. The younger guy is still at school plus many of us bored with that trial stuff. Thanks.

Re: Any word on the Academy?

I'd say Academy means sub-academy for a fair few boys.. The two certs for Academy are Tom Stewart 2 and Aaron Sexton 11. I reckon the following have a good chance of sub academy: MCB 10 and 15 SULLIVAN 9 CCB 15 BRFC 13 Dal 13 Will be interesting to find out. Many other forwards likely? Struggling u...

Re: Any word on the Academy?

Watched it. Sickness in the camp meant Mckee and Carson didn't play.

Played much better 2nd half when we played more territory. No real standouts.

We had great linespeed everywhere but on our own 5m line. Leaked a few soft tries early on which left us too much to do.

Re: Any word on the Academy?

Crothers is definitely Ulster. U17 as is Carson.

Doak is a better 10 than 9 IMHO

Re: Any word on the Academy?

RBAI and MCB and CCB and RSA were heavily weighted towards u6. So not so many 2001 birthdays.

MCB 10 and 15 made Irish u19 I think.

Wallace will be team to beat next year. All 3 of their Irish school players are L6 this year.
