Re: Ulster v Munster

Nice problem isn't it. "What 3 do we pick from this bunch" rather than "oh f**k, look who we've got left to pick from" I'd say stick with Doyle @7 - we have enough big ball carriers in the pack with Afoa, Stevenson, 1F/Diack and Hulk* (and to a lesser extent Tom Court). When look...

Winning while playing well below par with still a very youthful team.

Re: Pray for the swift recovery of Paddy Jackson...

When everyone is back and fit... if NOC and PJ aren't cutting it - would a realistic option be Paddy Wallace into 10? St. Ruan hits the place kicks and Paddy does the distributing out of hand.

File it under "Plan C"? (or "Plan D"?)

Plan C being St. Ruan of Pienaar to 10?

Re: Anscombe's 5 point plan ....

Sorry Amiga but I dont know what "as much as possible," entails. Its a little bit vague for me. Is it revealing simply team news or saying we are crap when we are crap or berating players in public or what? No no, you can't go berating a player in public - any individual criticism should ...

Re: Anscombe's 5 point plan ....

Really? I think Croziers 5th point is the worst of the lot but you are bang on with the first 3. Internal goings on are between the player, the squad and the management. Revealing these matters can have a massively detrimental effect. Thats what I meant by "as much as is possible" - obviou...

Don't want to start a debate and clog up space on Mac's papers thread - but would love to know what you all make of this, taken from Crozier's article in the Bellylaugh ... Five things Mark Anscombe must do to be a Ravenhill success 1 Prove that Ravenhill is a bastion no visitors will leave other t...

Re: Rabo team by team guide...

I note we have brought in another fly half into the academy as well as sending McKinney away for experience. Humphreys hasnt confidence in anyone coming through just hoping someone will. If we dont solve it in the next two seasons we will also be without Afoa and unless DFitz strings some game toge...

Re: Ulster vs Glasgow

Amiga, if we lose we are in trouble and playing catch-up from day one. Losing at home to a mid-table team would be a disaster and knowing how good our youngsters are will not compensate................... even slightly. We will not be in trouble because of the points we lost, but we'll be in troubl...

No better time to see if they can cut it.

If we lose, we lose - but we'll straight-up have an idea of whether the youngsters are ready to hold the fort in the Rabble12 games or not.
