Re: Autumn International squad
Jacob isn't playing rugby at all. He's been injured for months and still people claim he is out of form. He has missed four games I believe. His last year or more has been below par. Such a lazy take. He has shown steady improvement to his all round game. Fielding, tackling, positional play etc. Al...

Re: Autumn International squad
OK Ireland won but it was a poor performance against a limited All Blacks team. Ireland to be found out in the 2023 World Cup as usual when it really matters. How do they fill the stadium with that kind of stuff? Beats me. I thought it was a really good Ireland performance. They dominated just abou...

Re: autobiographies - Rugby & others
Very few rugby biographies are up to much. They don't have a lot to say other than the usual guff. Brian Moore's "beware of the dog" is the one exception its a great read. 1F, BOD and ROG were all trash unless you're a real fan boy. Haskell's book didn't match the hype either. It was reada...

Solids You carry the almost unique distinction in this forum of rethinking your standpoint on presentation of an alternative interpretation. More power to your elbow! Must stop that or I'll be expelled/blackballed/cancelled/... :D A wise man changes his position when his information changes! Solids...

Re: Player movement
I don't see any reason why John would move away from Ulster. He feels appreciated and likes it here.Dharper wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 6:50 pm https://www.otbsports.com/sport/darcy-s ... ey-1226333
Ireland’s loss is hopefully UR gain, if we can keep him.

Re: Autumn International squad
Maybe I'll watch it again, but i didnt see any aussies near the pod that could have mde it even a theoretical maul. For me its flying wedge under new lawm and the fact that oit happens from a lineout rather than a goalline ruck is irrelevant. Contact with face, yes. But that is a long way off swing...

Re: Autumn International squad
Just watched Scotland v Australia. Niggly boys those Aussies but a very watchable game. I'm always impressed with Romain Poite as a referee. He knows that he can't see everything and has a lot of common sense. Was his last international game today. Probably for the best, given the blatant flying we...

Re: Player movement
Cooney would have had a few Irish caps but for the fact the out half he was meant to play with and who should now have the 10 Jersey got a kick in the Google’s for one text message and a photo sent on social media , Did ever a sentence out weight the crime like it Sexton and Cooney don't jive. Sext...
