+1 True, true. The voice of Cream and one of the all time great bassists - too often underrated.big mervyn wrote: Jack Bruce RIP btw.

Meet the players - Autumn Internationals Night
A good wee night last night @ HQ - well done once again to URSC [however - minor grouch - it would be nice to start on time and have had the sound system checked out in advance]. Restart, Hendo, Ruan, Fat Nick and VDM all in attendance and all in good form + a presentation to 1F for which he seemed ...

Baz Accountable for what ? If the recycle is slow if the distribution is poor or predictable or the second best option . Doak in charge for 2 weeks and people are digging a hole to bury him in . The first game against Leicester the line out and set piece failed in the 1st half and a gift a total Br...

Re: Who was your MOTM for ULSTER vs Toulon?
Rory played at the top of his game and left it all on the pitch. Honourable mentions to Tommy Bowe, Chad, and yes beagle! It wasn't all bad, that performance would have been enough to win against many teams but not the class and streetwise RCT!

He's just listed as 'back row' - I think he is open side normally.Russ wrote:What position does Clive Ross actually play?

Re: The real Questions from today....
All we need now is 2 x 5 pointers at home and away to Scarlets . Five points off tigers at home and then any sort of victory in toulon with Toulon not to get a bonus. Twenty points should see us through and not an insurmountable total :thumleft: That has cheered me up, I love a positive outlook on ...

Re: The real Questions from today....
Quite honestly merv I am glad in a way if it does pan out like that. The squad is at breaking point right now and Europe over stretches it to breaking point. Still need to find a spare 7 from somewhere if we are wanting to succeed in the league. Don't know if anyone has noticed but we haven't actua...

Re: Who was your MOTM for ULSTER vs Leicester Tigers?
So was she lip reading? so how was her knowing the line out call helpful to those on the pitch? Someone explain before I have a minor melt down and suffocate the cat. Hot news! Apparently it wasn't lip reading at all - it was Franco's fault - he shouted out the calls and the Leicester players could...

Re: Ulster v Toulon Allstars
Could be a bit of both. I think especially with seamen's terminology, a lot of European languages mixed at an early stage, so words morphed from one language to another and back again. A word I use a fair bit is 'mucker' - somebody I muck about with. I also have heard a rhyming slang origin for it ...

Re: Not the Ulster Ravens
Given some of the squad are academy players which places them in an under 22 age group possible playing against season old hands who play together week in week out the result is possibly less important than the experience gained and the assessment of good enough not so good if you get 3 players out...

Re: Not the Ulster Ravens
What the Ravens need is someone to compete at the breakdown. The forwards are not winning the contest where it matters. The games that I have seen and reading the report from Wales it seems to be the case in all the games. They need to get to the breakdown to compete at it!! Ask McComb - he...

Re: Tigers vs ULSTER - Live updates
Couldn't disagree with a lot of what you say Belmontboy. However, I am slightly less concerned about the pack. Young Jackson is doing a decent job learning his craft at hooker and should be sufficiently cooked in a season's time. Joyce seems to struggle to get up a level but I draw some confort fro...
