Re: What Ulster Lack??

Yes, missed kicks have cost Ulster a number of potential wins. NOC isn't even an AIL quality OH. Schifcofske doesn't have the rhythm to be a consistent kicker and to a considerably lesser extent, iHUmph is the same. Ulster do have a kicking coach - Neil Doak -ffs. No wonder they can't. There is an a...

Re: OUR PRIORITY NEED- AN OUT HALF

NOCs not improving because he doesnt have the basic talent. Its the one position on the pitch you need natural talent and he doesnt have it. He isnt even good at div 2 level so yeh it is unfair to expect him to step up. Shouldnt be in this position for critism. Shouldnt be near ulster squad. Need t...

Re: OUR PRIORITY NEED- AN OUT HALF

Without a decent place kicker Ulster will continue in the doldrums. The forwards have set the team up to win at least 8 other games only for totally useless kickers like NOC and Schifkofske to pi$h the games away. At home to Llanelli - missed 4 penalties (12)- lost by 7, away to Blues missed two pen...

9 = scrum HALF
10 = out HALF.
9 and 10 are the HALF backs. You can call the centres anything you like but they play in the centre. i.e. between the wings. Our S.H. cousins can talk all the fractions they like but it mostly sounds like horlix.

Jackthelads research is a tad poor.............................. I only used the info available on the Ulster and Tigers web sites, the only research available to me. You must have access to lots more than me so why don't you let us all in on it. Of course Ulster have more part time input than thos...

I remember Jimmy McCoy having a perfectly good try disallowed as the ref was on the wrong side of the ruck on the A.B's line. The lines man saw it o.k. but wasn't allowed to interfere in those days.

Coaching Perspectives

There has been much talk and criticism of the coaching Staff at Ulster. There are nine employed in various capacities and this includes John McComish who is almost supernumerary to the others.
