Re: Kingspan Stadium
Just disgusted sold out to the man. A ground with true history ruined by a silly deal. So much for the talk by our leader of not changing the name before consulting the fans. I'm sorry but this is a load of balls. It's giving Ulster Rugby a good chuck of cash for something which has absolutely zero...

Re: Goodbye Fair Lady You Served us Well
What date is the Antrim GAA game on. Maybe we could have our Yella shirts for then. Forgot about that Kofi and I see there is a chance of the Frampton fight at some stage as Barry McGuigan has Ravenhill, oops sorry :duh: Kingspan Stadium well up his list of venues McGuigan ruled out Ravenhill the o...

Re: Goodbye Fair Lady You Served us Well
What exactly are people crying about renaming the stadium for? It'll always be Ravenhill to the fans and everyone else. Ulster Rugby just was given a massive cash injection for nothing more than a token name change gesture of the stadium, it's free money. So what's the problem here exactly? It's lik...

Re: Louis Ludik signs...
We only have 1 outside centre and that's not good enough. We need Payne and Cave to share the 13 shirt and fight it out to be no.1. Ludik and Payne fight it out for the 15 shirt. Spreads and increases the competition for places across the squad. It's a no brainer that could leave Payne on the bench...

Re: Louis Ludik signs...
Who is our project player? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Could be JB Could be LuLu I think the fact that Herbst is signed on a 3 year deal while Ludik signed a 2 year deal points to Herbst being designated as our project player. Although obviously if Ludik signs on at the end of his contract f...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
I'd rather judge players on their playing performances rather than data about who runs the quickest, jumps the highest or benches the most weights. Cave for my money is the best 13 in Ireland.
Anyway, getting way off base in the transfer rumours section.

When is Heinrich Brussow's contract finished?
Would he be an option for a NIQ back row spot?

Re: Next years backline?
Good point about the best bits but I can remember the first time I saw Olding play when we sent the Ravens down to Munster last season. He was stand out as a 10 but my only concern with him is that he has to nail a position and stick to it or he could well be messed around like Austin Healey was in...

How Saracens haven't been in trouble for going over the salary cap is beyond me.

Re: Next years backline?
Fully fit and with everyone available I think it will be: 9. Ruan Pienaar 10. Paddy Jackson 11. Tommy Bowe 12. Stuart Olding 13. Jared Payne* 14. Andrew Trimble 15. Stuart Hogg 21. Paul Marshall 22. Darren Cave 23. Craig Gilroy * I would rather have him at 15 of course but I think outside centre wi...

Re: Hogg to Ulster?
I'm reliably informed that Wiehahn is a monster in the tight. Him, Rory and the nugget are going to refuse to engage reverse gear. Snipe, he is 25, and I accept he comes from a "manly" tradition of scrummaging area, but at 25 he will not be near the polished article and no matter how good...

Re: Next years backline?
Naa lads 9. Ruan Peinaar 10. Paddy Jackson 11. Tommy Bowe 12. Luke Marshall 13. Darren Cave 14. Andrew Trimble 15. Jared Payne Hogg is good but still second best to Jared Payne. Hogg can also play other positions such as 10 so he is a very good sub for ulster. Stuart Olding will not replace Luke Ma...

Re: Next years backline?
Really??? I'm finding this Payne thing a bit surreal to be honest. Me too I was a big fan of him before his feck vs Saracens. That combined with Anscombe's AGM comments followed up by his actions in the w game v Leinster have changed my opinion of him. I wouldn't be sad to see him head to Leinster ...
