It's only a minor fault - like it's not anything life threatening. But after i read the forums e.g. view frae thae hill and there's no more new messages the index page still appears that there are new messages for me to read. :?

I can obviously remove this by clicking mark all forums as read. Was just wondering is this a fault with my computer or the forum?

heyhey folks. Good news! All is well with the munchkin computer and viewing of our wonderful new home. I can now return to the index with the confident knowledge that when a board is read that it appears read to me and not still unread! Hee hee hee! :D

OK munchkin may not be so daft after all.

I just opened up a second browser window and a post by JB in the backroom lockin which I had previously read and moved on from showed as new.

Can't think of a mechanism for this at the moment but there may be something quirky about.

Used to notice the reverse on the old URSC site when both myself and the small cheese checked the board one after another from the same PC. If I got there after him and he had already viewed all the posts - then all showed as read - I assumed this is something to do with cookies which keep track of what has been viewed - but not who viewed it.
Paul.

stop press ... I'm too stoopid to live. I think my imagination was playing tricks - I hadn't actually read the JB post in question - he's been so prolific in the past 30 mins I just got confused.
