Selling a sky + box this week that isnt needed anymore but there a few films that I would like to take off it that I havnt watched yet.
I dont have a stand alone DVD recorder so that way of doing itt is out of the question.

Sky has their box nailed down shut, so the only way of getting recordings off the box is to play them into recording equipment - that either means something like a DVD recorder or a video capture device for a computer.
If you have a Mac, I can recommend the Elgato Video Capture dongle. This costs about £90 and can take an analog video output from the Sky+ box and convert it into a video file on the Mac.
There is probably a similar product that works for PCs but I don't know any specific ones.
