Greg Inglis moving to European Rugby?

Post by lw7 »

He's contracted to the Rabbits until 2017 but told the media during the World Series in England 'I'm still looking at different options'. Aged 28, He has achieved everything possible in league. Bath, Toulon and Toulouse have made enquiries to his agent.
A basic salary of 1 Million euro upwards has been quoted.
Although the ARU CEO has confirmed that neither player nor agent has approached them, He'd be taking a pay cut to play union in Australia.
Unlike Burgess, his former teammate, there would be no issues over where to play Inglis - He would walk into a union wing spot. Unlike SBW he has been very loyal to his NRL teams and if He wanted a new challenge in Union no one would stand in his way.
People like to compare him to Folau. I remember watching them score 5 tries between them for the Kangaroos in a test!!

Folau had the advantage of bringing his AFL kicking experience to his fullback role. Inglis can kick and played at 5/8 for a short time at Melbourne. So he can place/bomb/grubber etc but with his physique He's better on the end of kicks.
You're being a t#t Russ.
Darren lockyer had a wonderful allround kicking game. Thurston (unique place kicking action), Cronk and Reynolds are all great short game & place kickers.

So because Norn Iron is still the Queen's land he's one of us?

He'd know how to make a Paris bun too.

I'm sure LW7 is perfectly happy to have his thread reduced to a stand up routine.

For my part, having no interest whatsoever in 5 tackles & a kick, I've never heard of this convict. Therefore my only comment is "no comment".

Bye bye.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

And he might be indigenous but he's no Queenslander.
Born and bred in NSW.

Him playing Origin for Maroons is one of the controversial picks in the series...
