Oh dear, red card in similar circumstances to Payne on Goode, Willie le Roux landed on the back of his head closely followed by his neck & full weight coming down on his neck. Amazingly Le Roux up & about seemingly fine but away for a concussion test.

The Highlanders player can rightly say it was accidental but it was a clear case of how the man landed that resulted in the red card being absolutely inevitable. It looked shockingly bad.

The biggest difference was that no Sharks player thought he had to mob the offending player & Willie Le Roux dealt with it in the classy way you would expect. As an impartial observer I felt that red had to be the decision, as ultimately I did with Payne, though admittedly not on the day.

Sharks have 14-15 advantage for 65 minutes, currently leading 3-6. BIg chance.

Sure they have most of their national team in their squad, only won 1/8 so far not great.

I bring sad tidings. Sharks scrummie Cobus Reinach is out for 9 months, this may well hasten a call for Ruan given the dearth of alternatives.

Oh dear.

Hope he tells them to feck off.

Watched the Brumbies game there, what I would give for Pocock to relocate to Belfast...
