Coleraine are fairly weak this year so should be simple enough for Ballymena. Armagh v Ballyclare seems the tie of the round.

Any future stars this season?

Last year seems to be pretty poor apart from 1 or 2 players.

Would be simple if it was Armagh v Ballyclare but as it is Ballyclare v Armagh will be a tighter match.

Campbell 23 Grosvenor 3 (18 - 3 HT).

3 tries (11, 15 and 9), 1 conversion, 1 penalty, 1 drop goal to a penalty.

Workmanlike performance by Campbell and a win in a potential bananaskin fixture.

They will need to pick up their game to retain the Cup, as they failed to push on in the second half after dominating the first. In fact Grosvenor scrum seemed to get the better of a tiring Campbell near the end. A Grosvenor yellow card for a 'Whitten' in the red zone did not appear to give Campbell much of an advantage.

Campbell backs looked sharp particularly the wings and full back. The 12 is a bit of a tank, but skilful enough to drop a goal. Grosvenor did well with a limited game plan. Line out was poor throughout and this was a major disadvantage. But reasonable sound in defence, and quite inventive near the end to clear the lines.

25 v 8 win for Methody in a very workmanlike display against a plucky Rainey side who gave it everything. Error strewn on a heavy, narrow pitch with a whistle happy ref made for a disjointed game at times but Rainey deserved credit for putting on a great display and their tackling and courage all over the pitch was excellent.Methody standouts were James Gallagher at 8 and Mark Gibben at centre....these two lads need ball as well as the winger Paddy Calhoun who looked dangerous out wide but they need supply..all too often MCB put no width on the game and resorted to up the jumper stuff which is ok but for some handling errors.

Don't think Methody found it easy against a very young Rainey side that will be a force next year.
10 early points and one or two standout performances made the difference.
