I scored twice
Was that with a brace of birds or one Colzo?

Nah seriously - were you on the wing or playing flanker today?
Tries or kicks?

On flanker, both tries came from support play, the way a good flanker should be!
I'm a poor kicker from the tee, not bad out of hand though..

The positional move was a good call by the coach then.

Well, it was, but I don't have the bulk and I'm not the biggest hitter. I can tackle, but I don't put in massive hits. I'm still under 10 stone, and at 5 foot 7/8 I don't think it's heavy enough for the position.

But the coach has faith in me, so I'm happy enough :)

Not so much a friendly today for my son, he is playing for Bury St Edmunds in the Under 16's Suffolk County Cup Final.

The team has done really well all season with Sam in particular carrying on his good form from last season, player of the season last year and currently leading try scorer this season :D
He is having to play at No 8 today but is normally second row however will still be jumping at No 2!
For them to beat Colchester today would be on a par with Connacht beating Ulster at Ravers - unlikely!
The minimum standard at Colchester is county, with a large number are Eastern Counties players and one player, an ex-player of ours, is England Youth Development.
Apparently a couple have already been signed up to Northampton and Leicester acadamies.
We currently have two County representatives!!!
We are keeping the faith though, so fingers crossed.
I don't know who is more nervous, him or me.

thanks for that Colzo.
Just back from the club after few pints to drown our sorrows.
We were trounced!!!!
Quality showed at the end of the day and Colchester had it in abundance.
Our boy's played as well as the could have done and gave it their all, which at the end of the day is all you can ask for.
Their coach and all parents are very proud of them.

Two games to go before playing Dolphin at Musgrave Park the week after Ulster visiting there is certainly something to look forward to for them :)
