I think we play llanelli the week before the HC? Baaaaaa. would have been nice to play Leinster that week and let the two B teams have a rumble.

For the Leinster game I can see McGlock giving it up and selecting players in key positions such as 9 & 10 who won't be playing there against Northampton. I think we could go hammer & tongs with a full team against Leinster, still lose & risk big players missing HC game. Don't do it. Leinster will probably go in understrength too but with confidence.
Is the Leinster game after Europe or before it?

For the Leinster game I'd go with these lot (provided we've a full squad of players)
1.McAllister
2.Kyri
3.Fitzpatrick
4.Barker
5.Caldwell
6.Anderson
7.Henry (C)
8.Diack
9.P Marshall/Porter
10.Jackson
11.Danielli
12.L Marshall
13.Cave
14.Gaston
15.Smyth

16.Brady 17.Young 18.Cronin 19.Muller 20.Faloon 21.Pienaar 22.iHumph 23.Spence

Surely the selection for Leinster will be predicated upon the priorities for the remainder of the season which will be determined by the result in Milton Keynes. So speculation at this stage is totally pointless.

Indeed Rooster, but given the magnitude of my genius, I’m sure even this level of good judgment will be eclipsed before the end of the week.

Since when was it a requirement that a post was not "pointless"? Would be a very quiet board if the mods ever implemented that policy :D :D

Final top 6
Munster - 77
Leinster 71
Ospreys 70

And to be honest, I'm being fairly harsh on Ulster - predicting defeats away in dragons and glasgee and only a BP V aironi. With a bit of luck we could hit 66-69 points.

Mmm, cardiff winning away to embra was not part of the plan!

Plus Blues are away to Dragons on 29th April another possible 4pts

Ulster need a win against the weegies and probably a win against dragons away

Ulster need to win all remaining matches to be reasonably sure of getting a top 4 spot

I am assuming Leinster will give us a doing therefore we must win all others to be in with a shout.

Victory in Glasgow is crucial to the league campaign but the Scarlets match should be a five pointer given that the full squad will be hitting their straps for a Euro quarter final the week after.Of the games left Connacht is traditionally ours and the Dragons should be put to bed this time - we are much better than Fridays pantomime. 17 more points to the tally as a minimum requirement or the Master will get his cane out :silent:

I think that the Scarlets match could be tricky enough as they are a team who have done well at Ravenhill in the past. They will also be back to full strength and with only the play offs to worry about they will know that this match is 'season defining' for them. Although we will also be at full strength I would be concerned that some of our players may play with one eye on the Heineken match the week after. I know they shouldn't but human nature may make some of them attempt to avoid total commitment in this fixture to enable them to be available for the big one. I hope they dont.

If we can't beat Scarlets at home then IMO we don't deserve to get in the top 4. :cowboy:

You may be right Tin Pig but big matches against Scarlets in for example, the Heineken Cup, we have lost all four matches to them. In fact I vaguely remember they had a five pointer against us at Ravenhill in one of those matches so they are not a gimme and definitely not a surefire five pointer. Scarlets are the sort of team who can stick three tries on in 10 minutes against anyone if the mood takes them. There are no easy games left in the run in.
