Am I right in thinking Ian Henderson had both a finger injury and also a thumb injury requiring surgery last year but returned after 3 weeks.
Just wondering about McGrath as this weekend will be three weeks for him.
I know all injuries/surgery are different but just hoping.
O’Sullivan was up against it against Sinckler.
Actually a bit surprised Quinns kept their props on for virtually the whole game yesterday.

Maybe they reckon they don't have much strength in depth at prop either.

I assume McCluskey dislocated a finger ten minutes into the second half. Stop for a minute, get it popped back in, play on. Rugby players - real men.

The referees comment (picked up on ref mike) was something along the lines of "right it's in again let's get on with things" :D :fleg:

Was that just before he spent about 5 minutes trying to set a scrum?

Gusher was saying on the radio McGrath is due back in a couple of weeks yet, he mentioned Lyttle being back before him for maybe the Connacht match.

Robert Baloucoune will not be available for selection this weekend due to a knee injury.

Kyle McCall sustained a concussion playing for Ballynahinch on Saturday, and will follow the return to play protocols.

Squad updates in association with The Ulster Independent Clinic.

Would that imply Marcel is fit to play?

Squad Update – 17 Dec 2019
The Ulster Rugby Medical Performance Team have issued a squad update ahead of Friday’s Guinness PRO14 fixture away to Leinster.

Billy Burns sustained a concussion in Friday’s win over Harlequins at The Stoop and will follow the return to play protocols.

Great new re MM, hopefully a week or 2 off will sort him. BB already in his time in UR, has taken a few knocks, this is more than a “run at the 10” - he’s being targeted consistently.

Any news on Kane? Is he fit? As not seen him for a while. Also noticed timoney has fallen out of favour. For me we are a decent backrow short.

Indeed.

Presumably NT will play on Friday but he hasn’t really trained on.

His USP is his pace but we’ve not seen it for a while.

Any word on injuries from fridays game.
Its noticeable that a lot of the young backs who broke through over the last 2 season's are out with long term injuries. I'm thinking lowry, Hume, lyttle and Curtis. I'm not a physician, but just wandering if there is any significance in that.

It's a valid observation.

None of them are big lads but I don't think any of our back line have escaped injury over the last season and a half.
