They just pick a random injured player and mention something about them. No word on Carter or Luke Marshall...

The level of communication is shockingly bad for an allegedly professional organisation. I get that health information is confidential, but there is no attempt to produce even the sketchiest indication.

Given the problems he was having with his hip it’s no wonder we haven’t seen a fully firing Jack McGrath yet. Hopefully he makes a full recovery for life off the pitch as much as on it.

Disappointed for Marcus Rea if he misses a few games.

He has been decent in each of the few games he has played and 2 of them were against leinster and munster.

Jack McGrath appears to be learning to walk following his hip surgery. It will be a long time before we see him play.

Wow didn't realise it was that serious, will he ever fully recover, do you know Dave?

Sorry he can walk. It's more correcting his walk than learning. He's walking a bit funny from the surgery.

A bit more on Cooney's injury .. doesn't sound great. Hopefully he's back for the start of the season otherwise Doak/Shanahan/Finley are our options..

In better news Jack McGrath has been doing progressive return to scrum exercises so thats looking positive.

Doak has performed well for the Under 20's so maybe it's time to move him up the pecking order.

What a mentor Ruan would have been for him (and for Cooney)!

Never move on!
