Most injuries are the result of pace meeting brick wal and failing to roll properly with the impact. Cassius Clay always tried to fight off the back foot thus avoiding walking into the punch. Drive your car at a wall at full speed --then look at the damage -- the human body is not that different.

Allen had a good technique against bigger players hold them fall backwards and let their momentum bring them down.

Maybe the young lads have yet to adjust their approach to harden heavier players who seldom fall off tackles like school boys.

Gracie Allen. Great centre pairing with George Burns.

Micheal being the only Allen who has played for Ulster in recent years.

But is the only safe technique if trying to tackle a larger player coming straight at you---grab and use his momentum to being him down --- unfortunately 5 yards from the line the carrier will score.

"Marcell Coetzee suffered a concussion in last weekend’s bonus point win over Connacht and will follow the return to play protocols.

Louis Ludik sustained an ankle ligament injury in the same fixture and will miss at least the next three games.

Angus Curtis has had knee surgery to repair his torn ACL and will be sidelined until next season."

Matt Faddes sustained a shoulder injury in the game against Clermont, and will not be fit for this week’s game versus Bath.

Will Addison (calf) and Marty Moore (ankle) both sustained injuries in the Clermont match. Their fitness to play will be monitored throughout the week.

Squad updates in association with The Ulster Independent Clinic.

Any chance of Carter being back for our next home game? News at the time was approximately 3 months.

A fair chance with the next game being a couple of weeks away. We need him and Marty fit for the business end of the season.

Yeah not to mention Lowry, Little and Ludik as we could lose our back 3 from today.

What is the medical ward going to look like when we return to play in August?

Full bill of health or was there a long term injury I'm forgetting?

Gareth Milasinovich was due back April/May therefore we might see some of what he has to offer.

Henderson & Addison are two names we didn’t want to see.
