Think Furlong is due back.
Re: Any word on the Academy?
Game is in the OurDS, so up to Leinster to provide YouTube stream etc. Munster A v Connacht A on YouTube on Saturday at 3pm, so it is possible.MightyRearranger wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 6:51 pm Wonder if the A game will be shown online anywhere. It might actually be a good thing to offer as a sweetener for the 'Together Ulster' membership.
I see Dan Leavy is due to play on Friday, will be his first game since the QF against us. Hard to see him getting back to his old level after such a horrific injury, but you have to respect the commitment to getting back on the field.

No Leavy for Leinster after all, hopefully if it as the result of a set-back it's nothing too serious. Would have also expected to see Doak in the mix given he was playing for the As as a schoolboy last year. Should still be quite an interesting game though. It says something about how ridiculous the Leinster strength in depth is that Rhys Rudduck isn't even making the cut for the their seconds.

Re: Any word on the Academy?
Good team- there's a few on the bench who would want to be getting past the starters- Callum Reid wants McCalls spot,Tom Stewart wants McBurney's place, Alison wants Jones place and Finlay wants Shannihan's place - equally those lads want to keep their places and force their way on the first team.
Lots of guys who you hope will put their hand up for first team rugby, especially after McFarland stating he's going to be looking at bringing guys through in the Pro14.. Sexton and McIroy make a lethal looking back three and it would be great to see Gilroy finds his form again..

Re: Any word on the Academy?
Says it's "behind closed doors" on the Leinster website which suggests that it won't be streamed unfortunately.
Re: Any word on the Academy?
The Munster Connacht A game was streamed by Connacht last week -you'd hope the might of Leinster would manage something... but there is always the return fixture.
The nice thing about that team is there are a number of guys through the team you'd want to do well rather than the odd one or two. Strong Leinster side too so they will be well tested.

Re: Any word on the Academy?
No proper cover for lock huh, not one person they could possibly want to try out.
Re: Any word on the Academy?
any academy players missing may be covid related.
Re: Any word on the Academy?
There's more or less only the big new lock who is conspicuous by his absence.
I don't propose to speculate on his health but it may be more likely that they're still teaching him how to play rugby.

Quite a few Ulstermen there that it'll be interesting to hear how they go, also John McKee is an Ulsterman from memory.

Re: Any word on the Academy?
Looking like twitter updates at best at this stage. Munster streaming their A game v Connacht on Saturday. Leinster obviously working on things tomorrow which they don't want in the public domain yet.
Re: Any word on the Academy?
With Leinster it's usually a case of them not wanting to stream these games more than them not being capable of it. Even when they release a few snippets of highlights of these matches you would usually struggle to understand what happened during the game.Silverstu wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 1:26 pmThe Munster Connacht A game was streamed by Connacht last week -you'd hope the might of Leinster would manage something... but there is always the return fixture.

Re: Any word on the Academy?
Nathan Doak has been added to the bench as well btw..
Re: Any word on the Academy?
Confirmed no live stream for the game tonight.
