New Year, new song. :thumleft:
I am sure as we speak Mr PR Guru is penning a new ditty, or will copy it from the Giants or something.

If it's good enough for the Giants surely it must be good enough for us.... Don't they employ a professional supporter to spark the fans maybe they will try that

Wonder does the uptake in crowds have anything to do with a successful team

Luckily I am allergic to all things scripture so wouldn't know what that was like

But for an evenings entertainment of something different it might be ok

Its rubbish. Been twice, never again. Crowd will make you cringe so much your face might turn inside out.

Getting like Ravenhill then,

I think if you have the right expectation of that's the atmosphere you're going into you're ok

I just want to see if SUFTUM catches on if someone starts it

Ice hockey gets crowds because it brands itself as entertainment first, sport second.

Ravenhill going the same way.
It's the hope that kills you.

10 or 15 only wrote:What we miss now is an update in early week of the squad position, how the stingers, shoulder injuries etc etc from the previous week's encounter are progressing. I feel UR should keep the fans abreast of current injuries a lot more. It's the fans that keep UR finances in the black.
Who's "we"?

I don't miss it at all, because it never told you anything meaningful anyway - certainly nothing you couldn't find out from other sources and basically listed anyone who could walk as available for selection, (and a few who couldn't).

I don't feel the fans are entitled to be kept abreast, other than by what is fed to local press, in which case they're already doing it. I thought it was TV money from internationals through IRFU that kept us in the black - That and sponsorship deals. Anything from UR fans through the gate etc is just icing on the cake.
10 or 15 only wrote:I also feel there could have a Captains piece each week. The look ahead to the next match.
If it's actually written by the captain I would prefer him to spend more time training or resting than writing the same stuff as you'll hear at the weekly press conference anyway, but more likely it would be written by a UR PR guru (if I may borrow Kofi's term) and just be full of soundbites and meaningless guff.
