Who was your UlsterMOTM vs Dragons?

Post by fermain »

For a very long time, this is probably the hardest one to ask, but for the sake of completeness, I won't stop asking.

Despite the dire performance, was there anyone or any moment which made you think something positive to decide who was your Ulster MOTM?

Easy this week; only Craig turned up.
From the rolling glens of Antrim through the hills of Donegal we will stand and shout for Ulster as we win both scrum and maul from the lovely lakes of Fermanagh tae the shores of ould Lough Gall we will scream and shout for Ulster as we beat them one and all!

Gilroy was a ray of light in a dark sunday landscape. Very lively in attack and not really tested in defence as the Dragons found easier options before even having to look for him.

Very painful to even think back on this match! Gilroy did what was required (but even then some of his kicks weren't the best!), Herring put in a reasonable shift (bar a squint throw) as did Herbst. Is it just me or is VDM starting to look and play a bit tired?
On balance Gilroy for turning up to play!
Hope is not a strategy.

Gilroy... Feel sorry for him... He has great flair/ pace/ work ethic and deserves to be in the Irish set up but when you have to play alongside the non committed/ uninspired it has nothing but a negative impact on the national coaches mindset come selection time.

Gilroy's stats were very impressive for this game. He always wants ball in hand to run at defenders.

Craig has just hit form lately. He's had his rough patches too.
