Article suggests that the deal doesn't start until 16/17 season and runs for 2 years. Would fit with the NIQ contract situation with all but Pienaar's up in the summer of 16. Assuming its actually true!
Piennar is going nowhere, lets stop that shoite now
Ruan has a contract until 2016/2017 season, didn't say he was going anywhere

What a fantastic signing if this turns out to be true. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs their head looked. The fact he is a current all black, coupled with the reaction coming out of NZ to losing him, tells you just how good this guy is.

Yes I agree we need at least one backrower, but I'm confident it will come. It's great to see a bit of forward planning by Bryn and Logie, snapping up quality signings to come in when our current NIQ contracts run out.

Frig, he's even nearly as good as Trimby and Tommy under a high ball!

He's a great player but feck me with the blunt end of a ragman's trumpet if we don't need a pair of back row players of quality. Wilson is running on fumes - al be it well enough but in 2 years time???? henry is now in his 30s. We don't have much in the Academy to set the blood racing. Williams is going by then and I can't see the IRFU blessing an extension. Ross and the other kiddies are underwhelming. We need a 'Kaino' type signing rather than another brilliant back when we have.

Are we getting rid of Ludik? Is this a Kiss signing? Is Piutau an Esportif client? How will we pronounce his surname? Does this mean Jared is now, and forever, a 13? WHERE THE FECK IS OUR BACK ROW FOR NEXT SEASON?

   P-Uh-Tau

Baldy, you've been helped. :thumleft:

I'm aware of the correct pronunciation, I'm simply awaiting the carnage of some glipe from outer Dromore trying to say it.

"Pee-to . . . Pi-po-too . . . Potato . . . GWAAAN CHARLIE!!!"
And from this post, the nickname was born....

"Chuck Spud".

i think ulster will let ludik go when charles signs in 2016, they will let williams go when his contract is up in 2016 as IRFU reduce NIQs to 4, they will also release FVDM when his contract is up at this stage Hendo (although better at 6) will be slotted in second row, and because FVDM is away that free's up 1 more NIQ = Backrow signing in 2016

I'm sure UR have added the small Proviso this time, we want a whole body when it lands on these shores. No long term injuries to worry about and treat.
