On balance I thought Murray bested him. Slight but Murray was more sharp. In a way a microcosm of the game, I think we drew with a team who were outplayed for parts of the game but who out-thought us for almost the entire game. We are not a sart team unfortunately.

POM will be the happier of the 6s by a distance.
POMs workrate was phenomenal

Seen on tv twice in 80 minutes. God that is so much unseen work

The prescient comment was by Baggy I think. We are dumb as f*ck against teams like Munster, who played their own game and drew us into a dogfight. Given the similar issues we had against Connacht with Owens at scrum time, we learned nothing and didn't prepare. I need to watch it again on TV, so going from memory, Black was done at least twice, once for ridiculously and allegedly dropping Archer despite Ulster attacking their put in on their 22- take a look at Archers bind. Then once from not driving straight when he popped the deckchair. Think there was an early engage also.
Point is we approached the scrums in exactly the same way as when we were blew off the park in Galwey. Also, Ryan changed the scrum when he came on. Much better than the so-called killer. Herbst and especially Ross struggled, and our goose was cooked. Munster did what Munster do, smarts up front much too good for our pack which goes MIA against them continually.
Tactically as well, we battered away with little effect on their flat defence instead of mixing it up and turning them from kicks behind. They had an armchair ride most of the time until we opened with some of our more creative moves. Reckon we left a least 2 tries out their, both down to Tommy, who's not playing at top of his game IMO. Ironically, they never looked like scoring a try until we went to 14.
And as usual, mix of poor throwing, and not challenging their ball gave them the advantage at lineout time to do what they do best. We ceded the areas we needed to gain parity at least, and from that POV, and the fact that we showed guts and still drew, says a lot for how dumb we really are.
Say what you want about Nige's decision, but Hendo was stupid to give him the opportunity.
I also say this, apart from ROM, none of the other Munter players seemed to get too exercised about Hendo's challenge. I even saw POM after looking puzzled when red was shown tbf. So kudos there.
PJ my MOM for Ulster. Stander overall. We need another HEC class tighthead and some top class back rowers/ 8's and quick.

MOTM awards should never be given until the final whistle.

Rightly or wrongly, Paddy probably would have got it if that were the case.

Guys, bit harsh on Nigel , but I do agree that being a celeb is more than being a referee at the moment, and playing the pink card is now a bit of a gimmick .

The incident with the crooked throw a few months back were he said " I am straighter than that " was a disgrace...... Think of the reverse, if a straight player threw the ball in and Nigel penalised it for not bright a straight throw and the hooker or a player said " it was straighter than you" all hell would have broke out about homophobic comments. That's what pisses me off about him, other than that I think he is quite sweet

Hendo was cruising towards MOTM before 'the incident' - PJ's and Ruan's distribution was par excellence as was PJ's kicking off the tee - alas his kicking from hand just misfired a few times. Rory, as ever, was everywhere, and VDM was well up there, but for sheer work rate, tackling and being a general nuisance to the opposition Chris Henry gets my vote. I thought so on the day and confirmed that by re-watching this morning. Honourable mention to McClosky who continues to be a really valuable asset.

According to the play of one POM, yes, yes it is.
